Good point. He has some things to work out. 4 run lead seems like a good time to do it. He didn't have to throw too many pitches, as it turned out.

I'm not claiming the guy is Cy Young. He has had 2 really bad starts which balooned his ERA, but also had some solid outings for us.

 

April 11 @ LAA - 6 IP, 3 ER, 2 K

April 22 vs Minnesota - 6 IP, 2 ER, 2 K

May 3 @ Tampa Bay - 6 IP, 3 ER, 8 K

 

No one seems to mention those though. And he's keeping us in it tonight, we just can't score.
