Since it's so quiet on the board tonight, I took the opportunity to look further in to Jerry Remy's status.

He had lung cancer surgery "late last year" and never fully recovered from a subsequent infection. He reported to spring training (late) still suffering from the infection. Now he is on indefinite leave of absence from NESN to recover. Ekersley will sub for him during the current home stand and Dave Roberts will take over on the up cumming road trip. Beyond that, there is no plan for color coverage.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like an aggressive form of lung cancer. The guy needs some prayers.

Green strikes out with basesloaded and goes head first into the wall without the catch with 2 outs in a close ball game.. but I still like the guy. I wouldn't say that I loved him though.

Eat a dick, Nick.

NESN showed Masterson's line, surprised the runs this inning are earned, is that right? It was a 2 out error.

No, Green flubbed the ball to Pedroia.

Are you gamecasting?

That was ruled an error? It would've been a great catch by JVE but shouldn't have been ruled an E if that is the case.

I really don't think Green f***ed up to bad on that liner, it was a quick decision he made it just wasn't the right one. He probably should have just held on to it.

Everyone still love Nick Green now?

That was an ugly throw behind Peroia. Plays like that can make for a very lengthy career in the minors. Which is where he would probably be if the Sox were not in a bind. I still like the guy, though. As for JVE's play in center. A for effort, but he should have either caught the ball or held up and played it off the wall. We ridicule Jacoby, but that would have been a put out if he were playing.

No, I'm watching.

I wasn't ruled an error, but it should have been IMO, and it wasn't the play in CF. Before that, there was a throwing error on the fielder's choice to Pedroia at 2B. That would have been out #3.
