According to this, Posada is the 2nd worst catcher in baseball in 2009 when it comes to CERA. Only the immortal Chris Gimenez is worse. He's only caught one inning this year.

 

In the 6 games against the Red Sox and Mets...Posada caught four games. The Yankees went 1-3. The oppostion scored 27 runs for a CERA of 6.75...which is inline with his season average of 6.44.

 

The other two games, the Yankee pitchers gave up a total of THREE runs. Posada's BEST single game in that stretch is SIX runs.

 

At what point does this stop being a coincidence?
