Right, it's a message board, and when you need to qualify your message as being "not serious" when it shows deficiency of perspective, then it's probably best left unsaid, whether you are frustrated or not.

On a separate note, Pujols just absolutely SMASHED one in St. Louis. That was one of the hardest hit balls I've seen in a looong time.

Seriously, why would you ever leave you're struggling starter in? He's past 100 pitches, given up 6 runs, doesn't have any real command of his pitches, and has been hit fairly hard.

Lets do a risk reward assessment:

Risk:

Very good chance of continuing to struggle, big risk of giving away runs/the lead.

Reward:

Saves the bullpen maybe one inning.

 

That doesn't look like a very good risk to take to save one of the best bullpens in baseball from pitching 1 more inning.

Talk about a waste. Francona plays with fire, trying to save Delcarmen. He ends up having to get 3 outs anyways, only now having a tie game, not a 2 run lead.
