I saw this somewhere on MLB.com but can't confirm, but apparently Ellsbury has the Red Sox record for consecutive errorless chances for a CF. Combined with his excellent range, that's quite a kudo.

I think I read that somewhere too

EDIT: From CBSSports.com:

CF Jacoby Ellsbury played in his 179th straight game without making an error Sunday afternoon, which broke the franchise record for consecutive errorless games played by a Sox outfielder. Ellsbury snapped the record formerly held by Mike Greenwell, who, ironically, wasn't really known for strong defensive play out in left field. With greater depth of knowledge on hitter's tendencies and familiarity with the big league ballparks, Ellsbury could begin entering Gold Glove discussions.

And with Ellsbury's range, and the fact that he's playing CF, he's probably getting a lot more chances than Greenwell.

The amazing thing to me is that Coco Crisp didn't break that record. But I guess he plays such aggressive D that the odd error is going to happen.
