    on the field i like the idea of having ARod, but in the locker room he's a cancer. you saw what happened with jeter when he got to New York. Who would have known what would have happened if he and Miggy came here, would the same happen to them? plus it would make sox fans more despised, especially if/when the steroids stuff came up, wouldn't see Boston yelling to trade him or the fans throwing needles or pills at him. it's better of he didn't come, because A) it meant we could trade Manny to another league. we kept Lester C) We had the budget to be able to trade for Beckett and Lowell, who both played their part and then some in the ALCS and World Series in 2007.

    Watched the game and noticed how nice the green jerseys look, one of the main reasons because there was no piping between the Red Sox lettering. Do you think it's time the piping goes? sorry i'm bored and intrigued to see who likes what.

    just gonna tell you a bit about myself. I'm Australian. I live in Hong Kong I'm a massive sox fan. Favorite player is Ellsbury Favorite all-time player is Pedro. I'm not a bandwagon jumper, been a fan since i was a baby and i don't know why!

    Wood's upside rating is the second highest in prospects at the moment, behind only LaPorta. We would have to give up a fair bit for him, it would be a dumb deal anyway.

    we're weak at 3B for now. when Kotsay gets back we have Youk who can play there once a week and Kotsay can play 1B, but until Kotsay gets back the idea of Wood isn't a terrible one.

    what makes Arod a better player his he has tools, glove, speed, arm. but seeing as this is about the bat, there is no comparing Manny to Arod. No one is as consistant, or as pretty to watch when a ball is put up and away as Manny.

    Bay, his stats last year were similar to Manny's. And if that's Bay's peak, compared to Manny nearing the end, those numbers are still good. not as good a hitter though. I'd go Pujols.
