I'm not sure what to make out of this team's struggles so far. The pitching has been decent, not great. The hitting has been subpar, not horrible.

 

I'll be shocked if this team doesn't turn it around at some point this season, and it is amazing what a long season it is. The Yankees must be thinking the same thing, with Wang being so horrible. The Rays look really good, as do the Jays.

 

Hopefully the Sox don't have to put Youkilis on the mound tonight...

They don't look that old to me, but they do look pretty uninspired.

They're going to need to add something to change the dynamic on this team at some point in the next year or so. I don't feel like Matt Holliday is that player necessarily.

 

Ortiz looks like he's never hit a HR before, Lowell and Drew look and act injury prone and hobbled. Ellsbury looks like he is surprised by every pitch. Baldelli is batting too often and Tek is the grandfather of the bunch. The pitching should be okay, but it isn't good enough to win the division for them... Tampa is too balanced.
