If all thats true they are going to be in some serious s***. And that article may just be scratching the surface! I don't think they will have to vacate any of their wins because of Miles since he didn't play any games but who knows what else may come out if the NCAA goes full blown investigation on Uconn. This NCAA tourney run could be it for Calhoun if they face major sanctions especially considering his health and age. Either way it means mass exidos for Uconn this year with investigations looming. Transfers and early entries not to mention who ever they had committed rethinking things.

I can't stand the "agent of the university" and booster culture. It's hard to tell if this guy was some overzealous fan who hooked up a recruit or if Calhoun and other UConn officials supported what he was doing. If all of this reporting from Yahoo! pans out the guy is going to do so much harm to the university he was trying to help, all for a recruit that didn't end up playing for UConn. The best thing boosters can do to help the college is to cheer for a recruit when they see them at a game, but then to stay the hell away and let the coaches do their jobs.

The funny thing is if the guy dealing with Miles wasn't connected with Uconn it be just like every big Memphis recruit.

This should eliminate Moore as a candidate to replace Calhoun.

Do Memphis Next, but then again Cal probably has Yahoo! on the payroll.

omg uconnvicts lol

I really believe this happens all the time, and UConn just got caught. Unfortunately, it reflects horribly on the university and will probably result in a large investigation.

Oh well, at least UConn does the right thing and actually expels students who punch girls in the face.

These infractions are relatively minor, it's just unfortunate that the "UConnvicts" perception of the university will come into play again.

Convenient that this issue comes up the same week as the S16, nice job by Yahoo to get maximum coverage.

I don't think UConn is in deep trouble over this.

It's also worth mentioning that UConn has only been hit with one sanction by the NCAA under Calhoun's tenure, and it was self-reported.

UConn has been nothing but cooperative in this investigation and I think the fallout will be relatively minor as a result.

This could also apply to Memphis considering they did absolutely nothing when Robert Dozier beat the piss out of his girlfriend. It's Memphis though, so no surprise there.

Calhoun is the best coach in america but this is big time basketball and nobody is above skirting the rules.

f***ing bc had the #2 ranked team in the nation a few years ago when skinner let go of Sean Williams, the nations most athletic shot blocker and rebounder yet a complete and utter cock off the court.

calipari let go of Mike Williams, a senior point guard and team captain the week before the a*10 tourney started in Marcus Cambys sophomore year?,umass was a #2 in 94 a #2 in 95 and the top ranked team in america in 06 but losing williams in either 94-95(i dont remember) essentially killed their chances for the national title.

you gotta give the coaches credit for dumping these *******s inspite of the price they pay.

Yeah that was Tom Osborne who let Lawrence Phillips play in the Orange Bowl that year after he was suspended the entire regular season and who was coaching Lsu when Cecil the deisel Collins was allowed on the field after being charged a 1/2 dozen times with aggravated sexual assault??Was it the current coach at bama?? I dont remember..Then there was Willie Williams from Carol City High in Miami..arrested 11 times, sexually assaulted a girl on a recruiting trip to florida and still had a dozen schools begging him to get on the payroll, he finally f***ed up for good at louisville and has got to be in jail by now...I forgot the 2 idiots who Bruiser Flint recruited to Umass who walked on campus and were in jail within an hour for breaking into a dorm room and stealing a girls pocketbook.

Its ultimately a whores business.

haha learn something about the story then talk. k thnx

I know the story. That's why I posted something about the story. I just happened to follow it up with a counter to you, because you always love taking shots at UConn and exaggerating the situation.

I agree. I see a relatively thorough investigation coming, but the UConn basketball program seems to have a pretty good reputation under Calhoun, and especially, as you said, policing themselves. This is a blip on the radar, but I think they'll be fine as long as they cooperate. It doesn't hurt that they dealt with Miles in the manner that they did when his abuse case surfaced.

Deflect the issue much?

He's pretty touchy. I have nothing against him, and I was truthfully a little surprised at his response to my comment, but now that I look back I'm not surprised. He tries to make UConn look bad whenever he can. Especially with his excessive and ironic use of "UConnvicts" when his own basketball team apparently doesn't take care of their troubled athletes like UConn did with Miles. You punch a girl, you're out. Seems to me that Devendorf is still playing. Hmmmm...

Yeah, but Memphis is irrelevant. I was only bringing it up because of the Syracuse-UConn thing here. I don't know much about Memphis' players' street cred...

Yeah' date=' he was defending himself. Just like Chris Brown was.[/quote']

Not saying I back him by any means, but I believe she gave him herpes without telling him anything about it. At least that's what I heard. Still, you can't punch a girl for any reason. I dunno the accuracy of this since I didn't double check it and I'm too lazy to do so at the moment.
