Julian Tavarez Explains Why He Signed with the Nats

Normally, a non-story like Julian Tavarez signing a minor-league deal with the Nationals wouldn't come close to warranting its own thread but I thought his reasoning was fairly entertaining:

 

“Why did I sign with the Nationals?” Tavarez said told a group of reporters. “When you go to a club at 4 in the morning, and you’re just waiting, waiting, a 600-pounder looks like J. Lo. And to me this is Jennifer Lopez right here. It’s 4 in the morning. Too much to drink. So, Nationals: Jennifer Lopez to me.”

Although I won't miss his numbers on the team, the dude had a personality and he definitely wasn't afraid to throw down if it came to it...I'd "rent" him for a few games against the Yanks/Rays if need be...
