Hey, I am Aimee! I am not technically a Red Sox fan, but I am doing this competition with my friends where you argue why a team is going to be better than another team in 2009. I am arguing why the Red Sox are better than the Mets.

So I am basically gonna be creeping around here for the next week or two trying to learn as much as possible. And if you have some reasons why the Red Sox are better than the Mets, feel free to help me out! Thanks! :)

Are you writing an essay? Quote me in it!

The Red Sox have Johan Santana, a Cy Young award winner.

They have David Eckstein. Grittest player in baseball.

They have Darin Erstad. He played college football.

They have Joe Crede. Not good with the bat, but very fundemental.

They also set good picks, play great small ball, and play devastating defense.

This will win any debate. The Mets have none of these things.

I completely agree. I really hate the Mets...and they would die in the AL East.

And I have to write 1000 words or less on it. I will totally quote anyone! haha

They have AJ Pierzynski is really spunky and competitive. Plus, their bench coach is Luis Sojo, and he knows how to win.
