The Drew hate on this board is f***ing laughable

I don't recall anyone hating Drew during the 2007 ALCS, all of the month of June 2008, or throughout the 2008 playoffs, but, hypocrites come in all sizes, colors, and nationalities, my friend.

I only hate Drew when he has a hangnail and can't play. When he's in the lineup I have no issues with him.

You ever had a herniated disk?

You ever had a strained quad?

I think when we talk about Drew - the fans somehow feel he should not have been signed for 5/70M - probably that generated the heat.

That and his carefree attitude. I am talking about dirtdog fans - not myself. I am kindoff getting tired with his problems with injuries though.

And since he's always positioned perfectly in right field, he doesn't have to dive nearly as much as noted blue-collars Jason Bay and Jacoby Ellsbury, him being a better, more precise fielder than both of them has nothing to do with that whatsoever.

Smoltz says that he could still pitch at some point in June. That doesn't sound optimisitic. I predict that the next announcement will be that hopefully he'll be ready to join the rotation after the All Star break. I guess the FO thought he was Superman when he is just a 41 year old with a surgically reconstructed shoulder.
