Should be a personal foul for the hit.

There was an equally dangerous hit on a Raven player earlier in the game. It came on a block, with the Pittsburgh player coming back toward the line of scrimmage and he delivered an absolute head-to-head, missile-type block, leaving the Ravens player's head scrambled. The announcers never said a work about that one and I hear no one talking about it now.

Yea, I wasn't crazy about the Steelers playing music either, have a little respect for the guy on the field. I'm sure Steeler fans could've gone a few minutes without having to be entertained by music.

And as far as the hit itself goes, Clark led with his shoulder, it was a clean hit. Football is a contact sport, it happens.

No, it wasn't a clean hit. You can't go helmet to helmet on a defenseless WR.

He led with his shoulder' date=' the helmet to helmet was kinda incidental. It's a hit you see all the time from safeties[/quote']

It doesn't matter if it was incidental. Most of the hits I see from safeties are shoulder to shoulder collisions that cause major whiplash with the head. If the helmet meets the receiver's helmet, it's personal foul, regardless of the intent.

I suppose, I just want to make sure people see a difference between the Ryan Clark hit and hits where guys lead with their helmets

if you take that hit out of football you may as well outlaw tackling below the waist...its football for chrissakes, its violent and its viscous and people WILL get carried off the field when the leagues 2 best defenses play each other, its a fact of life.

And this is the 2nd time I seen McGahee taken off the field in a championship game, once at the U and now this weekend.

Boy did the public come around on the Cards,we had 3 at kickoff and i think it was at 4 on friday
