Sup? My name is Peter. I'm from North Boston. I've been reading this website for about two months or so but never signed up. However I need to vent really bad so I figured here's the place. C.C. Sabathia ok I'm not a huge fan of him. A.J. Burnett interesting player un reliable. However the Yankees are going all out and are very good right now. For the second year in a row, while everyones improving we are sitting with our dicks in our hand. Very un happy with the Crisp trade for one.... it's the middle of December and we don't have a catcher. What the f*** is this s***? What are we the Washington Nationals? Anyway I'm very pleased they found time to re-do the uniforms but not upgrade the talent well down genttleman... Talk me off the bridge guys lol.

JFC' date=' relax. You really think the team is going to go into the season without a catcher? They'll be fine.[/quote']

Thats not even the point Coco, You have alot of basket cases in this rotation. Dice K pitches backwards, Wakefied's out there doing all kind of weird s*** with the ball. You don't choose a catcher who's the cheapest you choose one who can take command. Theo's f***ing getting raped out there in Vegas.

Uhh they might be "basket cases" but they're pretty damn good pitchers. Who cares how they do it if it gets done? What do you wish Theo would have done differently in the Winter Meetings?

Theo has always shown patience and long range thinking....when we hear the Yankee signings our feelings are uhoh what are we doing.......but I think the amount of home grown talent we develop plus SOME key free agent signings is the way to go....I think it has already been proven that the Yankee "spend like a drunken sailor" approach might make great press, but is not the best overall, long term strategy for an organization..

thanx' date=' even though someone blasted it first...not sure of the IQ level though lol[/quote']

Here's what I know... The Redsox were five wins from a championship. Mike Lowell was hurt. The offense killed us vs the Rays all year long. All in all the better team won in seven. Now we have the Rays who have stood pat. The Redsox who stood pat. Chances are the Rays are still two games or whatever it was better then us over 162 games.

Now we have the Yankees with a sick rotation on paper. Offense is suspect but if we keep dicking around and they get Texiera that team will open this team a new *******. So JimEd14 please help me out here. What can the Sox possibly get in free agentcy next year? Or bring up through the farm that would equil Mark T... Or even D-Lowe? Stop with these f***ing japinese pitchers they are like draft picks hit or miss. What can this guy (Epstein) possibly be doing to make us better long term if we keep letting the divison get stronger???

Haha...it's true though' date=' sacrificing the future for the present always comes back to bite you in the ass. It's unwise to make brash acquisitions in response to the Yankees.[/quote']

Yeah, Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell really ate our *******s out didn't it? I'm not asking to trade anyone just sign some much needed offense help and a damn catcher.

That is different, since Beckett was 26 when we got him; he was youth himself.

Don't worry about the catcher, that will 100% be taken care of. As for the offense, we will probably get Teixeira. Just because Theo hasn't made any official deals doesn't mean he's twiddling his thumbs.

It says your from the D.R. So not possible I hate the tropics. Too hot for me I don't even like going down south.

I didn't mean in person, but..............oh, nevermind............

One thing you need to remember in order to survive a Red Sox offseason is that the Boston front office is very tight-lipped. We often have no idea a move is going to happen until it actually does.

All indications are that we're going after Teixeira. If that's important to you then relax, it'll probably get done.

What we absolutely don't need to do is sabotage our chance to be in the same position we are now for each of the next 4-5 seasons for a doubtful upgrade. Fortunately, we're dealing with house money a bit right now since the players who had the worst years are the ones who are most poised to improve, Lugo excepted, and we don't have to worry about what if the catcher we get is worse than Tek offensively because that would be difficult.

The only two kinds of targets I want to see Theo going after right now are durable starting pitchers to fill out our rotation or failing that, that elusive catcher.

I would not object to seeing the Sox acquire Saltalamacchia. I think the concern that he can stay at catcher is likely overblown. If the price is Buchholz+ though, then you look at other options like Napoli or Shoppach.

What you absolutely don't do is overreact and gut the system for marginal gains now. That will gain us fewer trophies on average over the years because the one year of dominance will be followed after awhile with many years of suck and watching our talent win trophies for someone else.
