Linceum, he's absolutly filthy. . Linecum has got 60K's on the 2nd place guy.....Webb has alot of wins, so that could help him.

Santana Should win it but his lack of wins will kill his chance. he has the best ERA and the most IP

Lincecum is my pick as he has the 2nd best ERA ,227 IP,265K and holding opponants to a 221 BA

I picked C.C. Even though he didn't play the whole season in the NL, the job he did in Milwaukee propelled the Brewers to contender status. He had a great season. As did Lincecum, and Lidge, and Webb, and Santana. I have to give my vote to Sabathia though.

This, along with the AL MVP, is the award I think you can have the most discussion with.

The sad thing is if Lincecum doesn't get it (he should), it won't go to the next best deserving candidate, it will go to Brandon Webb (instead of Johan).

Brandon webb? Johan had a better season

Read what I said.

It'll be unfortunate that it won't go to the next best deserving candidate, it will go to Brandon Webb (instead of Johan).

Yeah' date=' voters look at win total wayyyyy too much.[/quote']

Does that make Webb the front runner?

Neither the DBacks nor the Giants made the playoffs...

I mean win total for the individual pitcher not their team.

I understand...Webb finished with 22 wins this season to Lincecum's 18

I'm taking Sabathia.

People can talk all day about how he didn't pitch a full season in the NL and blah blah blah, but IMO he was so dominant that he should deserve it.

Do I think he'll win? Nope. But he's who I'd vote for.

I firmly disbelieve anyone who didn't pitch an entire season in one league should be eligable for Cy Young. That or if they only pitched a few games before a trade they could be eligable.

But in Sabathia's case, despite his very dominant pitching to save the Brewers' season, I don't think he should get it. I'm going for Lincecum.

This isn't even really somethign that's arguable... it just depends on what your opinion is of a "cy young pitcher"... I felt like Sabathia pitched so dominantly for a sustained enough period of time to warrant the award.

If Sabathia doesn't win it, it should absolutely be Lincecum second... if he doesn't win it this year, he's got one to come soon.
