LOL

f*** it man, there's no hope if you actually believe this s***

Do you want me to believe that Manny Ramirez's impact on the lineup is less than Jason Bay's impact? I wont because it simply isnt true. Bay is a good player, no doubt about it, but his skill level at the plate isnt nearly as good. Playing at Fenway also hid alot of Manny's fielding deficincies.

You honestly believe that if Manny where out there right now, he'd continue to play like a great player? DESPITE the fact he lost all incentive to win in Boston? Nevermind the fact if we kept him, and he continued to be a dick we wouldn't be here at all?

He wouldn't have won the division for us, and Bay has been tearing it up in the playoffs, like Manny has.

This does not mean he would continued to suck. Seriously' date=' the fact that Manny was raking in the week before the trade, and July in particular kind of difuses the notion that Manny wouldnt have been great for us for the rest of the season.[/quote']

Dude, like CD pointed out, Jason Bay had a .429/.515/.857/1.372 line in the postseason entering today.

How much can you really expect to improve on that?

Plus, even if the Sox lose tonight, they're in the EXACT SAME POSITION the Dodgers are in.

Manny was my favorite Sox player. It's not the same without him. But it was time for him to go. Should have seen the writing on the wall when he hired Borass.

Best wishes for him always.

I hate BJ Upton.

Elaborate please.

We scored like 40 runs in a 3 games series with Texas. We scored a ton of runs against KC, Baltimore, and Oakland as well. Right after the trade.

I dont know, its just in games like this, when the offense is being shut down, after 7 and half years, you just come to expect Manny to come up with the homerun that turned it around. Manny did intimidate pitchers btw, that does happen in this leauge. It had to be intimadting for any pitcher having to face Ortiz and Manny back to back.

BOY is getting pissed. His attempts to make sure he capitalized and spelled correctly are out the window. He's back in form.

You completely missed my point there. I was saying that those series probably scewed the runs per game total that we ended up with. Fluke games like the 19-17 game.
