Cannot throw two consecutive strikes.

CANNOT EVEN THROW TWO CONSECUTIVE STRIKES!!!

(Clay says thank you for your help, Alexi Ramirez)

Buchholz really needs to get back to Pawtucket to work on his command.

Buchholz is too good for AAA. He simply overpowers batters.

He needs to learn here.

Outta that mess.

We really need more runs if Buchholz is going to continue to pitch like that before Tito finally pulls him.

did you really need to say that twice?

Yeah, sure, that way at lease one of me and Clay Buchholz has a repeatable delivery.

It's unreal how down people are on Buchholz.

Buchholz now is what Jon Lester was in April. JFC.

No kidding, it's unbelievable how reactionary people are

It's all about "what have you done for me lately" around here

agreed, most young pitchers experience a serious learning curve at the major league level, no matter how hyped of a prospect they are (see: Phil Hughes, Homer Bailey, etc). Buchholz won't learn anything anymore in Triple A, he just needs time to figure out the major leagues

Well s*** he's in a bind because considering his away record he hasn't learned s***.

He's young though, so who knows.

I'm guilty of that too (Ellsbury), but some people just need to realize he needs to learn on the job here.

Nice AB Ortiz.

See Clay? That's how ya do it.

You do know Gavin Foyd before this year had been considered a huge disappointment as he was the Phillies #1 pitching prospect, correct?

thats probably the downside to the no-hitter he threw last year. as if the expectations on him werent high enough

Oh yeah. I'm guilty of that. When he threw the no-no my expectations went high for him, and probably too high. Much like many others. And he's obviously sucking so far this year. And sure I'll hate him for it, but like I said, he's still young, and as Kilo made the very good point of he's here to learn, and in realizing that I suppose you just have to accept he's in the middle of becoming what Jon Lester is today.
