Yankee fans didn't know whether to cheer the Red Socker Drew or s*** themselves.

What happens if the game is tied going into the 9th? Will Mo pitch the 9th? If he doesn't, he may not get into the game. If he does and the game goes 10, he will not close it out either.

By that time, it'll be past Selig's bedtime and he'll call it a game.

this crowd is acting like its NY VS BOS
They are real dicks. If you lived in NY like I do, you would know never to cut any of them a break. Ever.

Am I completely wrong on this or has Papelbon been missing less bats in key spots this season?

His K/9 rates are down this year, but they were insanely good in '06 and '07.

Typical mindless Yankee fan.

He came into a tie game and couldn't get the job done. You're right...it wouldn't take much of a mind to clearly see that and point it out.

He allowed one single and got 2 strikeouts in the inning. Yeah he was f***ing terrible.

No your mindless because that run wouldnt have happened if there wasnt an error. Anyone who can think at all would recognize that. Does that clairify it for you, or should I sound it out?

It's tough to take an "L" when you haven't given up an earned run and you struck out 2 in one inning. We'll just have to live with the fact that he sucks.

Where did I say he was terrible? He didn't get the job done. That's all I said and it can't be disputed. Sorry, don't know what else to tell you. :dunno:

Score at the start of the inning: NL - 2 AL - 2

Score at the end of the inning: NL - 3 AL - 2

Does that clarify it for you, or should I link you to a clip on MLB.com?

Longoria saves Papelbon from getting the L.

Yankee fans are so bitter and confused that they can't even root for their own team when in the All Star team. Pathetic.

I hope you're not talking about me, because I'm certainly rooting for the AL. Why else would I be so upset about Papelbon almost blowing it?

If it was Nathan, K - Rod, or any other pitcher out there (including Mo) that did that I'd react the same way.

How about dont be a f***ing retard. Papelbon got the job done, it's his catcher that cost the team, not him in any way.

Edit- That was harsh, sorry but my point still stands.

Yes, you seem despondent.

Where were your angry posts when Jeter hit into a DP or when he left 2 men on in his last AB? You are not an Optimist. You are a hypocrite and a bitter troll.

I'm not going to keep arguing about this as the point is completely moot now in a tie game.
