The Czech Republic just beat Switzerland 1-0 and Portugal beat Turkey 2-0.

 

My team, France, doesn't play until Monday at noon which is conveniently my first day of work. Awesome.

Gooooo PORTUGAL! Yes, I've been watching. I picked Portugal to win the world cup .. f***in France. I'll stick with them as my international team I guess (behind the US whenever they're playing, of course).

I think soccer's my new favorite sport. Sometimes I find it so boring, yet I get drawn into it and I can't change the channel. It's awesome.

 

Soccer at it's highest level is a great sport to watch. I may have to give the MLS a chance when I move back to Colorado.

The MLS is a joke compared to international soccer. I ordered the FSC so I could watch the Premiership, and I haven't been disappointed.

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. Plus, what attracts me to soccer is the fans... I like watching with full stadiums chanting all game, not watching teams play in 3/4 empty stadiums.

Heck, I'll watch the Latin American futbol before I'll watch MLS, and I live exactly one mile from Toyota Park, the home of the Chicago Fire.

I followed, as I love the sport. One night during the half they showed some of the MLS game (don't know who) and it seemed like watching a pee-wee league after Euro. I have always been a German fan and I picked Germany to win it all over Italy in the final. I think the most entertaining game I saw was Russia / Ned in the quarterfinals.

 

Overall it was a great tourney, and I still think Germany wins it if Ballack is 100% in the final!
