Ellsbury flies out.

Ellsbury hits about 200 OPS points lower vs. LHP...as much as I love the guy, that's just not acceptable unless he's going to be platooned.

You will have to excuse my tardy posts, JHB. I'm on mlb.tv so my reaction to event #1 was probably in sync with event #2. Blasted streaming delays.

Hope Lowrie has time to hit for the cycle

Good job Coco!

Dice-K manages to hang in there, very nice D-Mat!

Good game so far. But far from over.

GO GO GO!!!!!

Maybe Tito will read the writing on the wall and give Hansen the closer's job that's rightfully his.

What is it I'm missing? Why do you like Hansen so much over Paps as closer?

Since I said this....

Dice blows.

He's done this....

5 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K

I will continue this trend.

Cool! Lowell blows.

Edit:

Crap...the Game Thread goes totally dead except for the guy I know has a delayed feed and me, I post ten seconds after the home run, and you beat me to it.

Humor killer.

Kilo might be impaired from a substance, but you're mentally impaired if you think he was serious.

Okajima? Hmmm, I would have started the inning with Dice and someone warm in the 'pen. I don't like this, regardless of outcome.

Dustin with THE glove!

Speaking of "glove," in Lowrie's small sample at SS he'd be leading the AL in RZR with an .889. Eckstein at .875 is the top regular SS in the AL.

Lugo has a .741 RZR, last among regulars and ahead of only Ramon Santiago of Detroit among AL shortstops who have played the position enough to acquire a mere single assist or more.

Seriously, I defend Lugo frequently, but posting a .741 RZR when the next-worst regular has a .778 RZR is pretty bad...shortstops get so many total chances that a difference of 37 points is more or less like posting a batting average 37 points less than the next-to-worst other player at your position.

Well, in my defense, sarcasm doesn't play well on a discussion board. But as your comment shows, insults in poor taste come across loud and clear.

Oh, I almost forgot. Bite me. ;)

I would have preferred Timlin.
