LB should win considering he's almost averaging a triple-double for stats but I think Kobe is finnaly gonna win his first MVP due to the fact his team is first in the west and 26 games over 500. as almost always the MVP goes to a team with one of the top record . barring a major collapse by the lakers kobe will probly win it

But I still think LB should win it .

Chris Paul

Yeah I keep forgeting about him , he's having a better season that nash did when he won it twice , but again it all depends on what record the team finishes with

Lebron plays in the weak Eastern Conference. Kobe puts up his points and has his team leading the much tougher West. LBJ will get plenty of MVPs before it's all said and done. This is Kobe's year, hands down.

Kobe FTW.

Kobe plays with a much better supporting cast.

Paul plays with similar talent around him as LBJ does in Cleveland, and Paul plays in that great Western Conference.

It's said that Paul is going to get zero love for his season.

What I think:

Paul

LBJ

Kobe

What will happen:

Kobe

LBJ

Paul

Gimme CP3, Kobe, KG, or LeBron.

Too close to call right now, but I'd have to swing toward the homer vote and say KG.

He missed too many games IMO, and even he has a better supporting cast that CP or LBJ.

True, but the current rate the Celtics are going, no way people don't vote for KG.

If I had to pick one with a bullet to my head at the moment if I was a voter, I'd say CP3, but as an outsider looking in at the situation, I'd say KG.

now that the season has ended ... I'd have to say CPaul for MVP , he's accounted for 49 percent of his teams points troughout the season .

this is where I would vote them

1 Paul

2 LB

3 Kobe

For me it's a tossup between Paul and Kobe' date=' with everyone else way out of the picture.[/quote']

Yep. And since the Lakers won the West, Kobe will win, without thought to the fact he has Gasol and the next best player on NO is David West.

That's another reason I felt KG never really had a shot. Missing ten games doesn't exactly help his case but his supporting cast is much, much better than Paul's.

The numbers don't help KG's case. Intangibles count, I guess, but KG is, like, 20th in rebounds, 40th in points, and his assists are down. I defy anyone to name an MVP who's numbers looked like KG's this year. Winning defensive player of the year helps, but I don't see how he really deserved it outside of the Celtics as a team improving defensively.

sort of like bill russells #s

nothing really impressive outside the 11 rings in 13 seasons.

im not going to argue garnetts #s because i cant defend them as compared to the stat machines like lebron and kobe.

what i can do is take into consideration how much everyone around him has improved and the fact that they have turned this thing around so fast it made even the most optimistic celtic fans dizzy.

kobe had 49 last night

lebron will get his 30-40 tonite

and garnett will score 15 with 10 reb 3 blocks and a couple of assists and the celtics will win by 30 and garnett will play 10 minutes in the 2nd half.

based on the turnaround this celtics team had with limited contributions from ray allen(sort of a down year) i would have no problem voting for garnett.

he has turned the attitude and mindset of the young guys from doormat losers into winners

hes made this team defensively look like the old detroit pistons with a much more balanced offensive attack.

I dont pretend to know how this will end come june but the Celtics went from the 2nd worst team in the league to the favorites to win the nba title and the common denominator in this equation is the addition of kevin garnett.

the best part of all this is garnett probably dont give a fiddlers f*** about the mvp so long as they win

meanwhile

lebron wears a yankee hat in jacobs field during the playoffs because as a native of ohio he has been a life long yankee fan???

f*** lebron, how much you want to bet hes been a life long cowboys or 49ers fan too?

do you think kevin garnett shows up in fenway with a yankee hat on?

this is the difference between men and boys

anyways

i think kobe wins the mvp

i think lebron comes in 2nd

garnett 3rd

and come the end of june he'll be getting fitted for a ring which may take the edge off not winning the mvp,i know it will for me.

Chris Paul?

ya

chris paul had an unbelievable year and i passed him over unfairly

he too turned that team around completley.

im still not sold on them being the best in the west but i certainly wont deny him the fact that he had an mvp type season.

that said and this being the nba i lean towards the big guys personally but if paul wins it i wouldnt object at all

i call BS

paul should have gotten it

same here , I would actually have Kobe 3rd behind CP and lebron , but thats how the MVP works in the NBA .

Posted

i saw the best player in the game play last night and it wasnt kobe bryant.

whether paul can do this 10 more years is another story but this spring chris paul is just unreal
