Guardians Sign Donnelly

According to ESPN's Jayson Stark, the Guardians signed 36 year-old reliever Brendan Donnelly to a minor league deal. Since he had Tommy John surgery in August, he wouldn't be able to help the Guardians until the season's final two months in the best case. If he does come back to the bigs in '08 he can earn $750K plus incentives. Donnelly's name surfaced in the Mitchell Report a few months ago, though he says he didn't buy anything.

The Guardians have added three veteran relievers this winter in Masahide Kobayashi, Jorge Julio, and Donnelly.

Do we get a pick for him? I'm not sure, but I don't think we offered him arb.
