Last night's win was huge IMO. They showed they could beat a western power without KG. I mean seriously this team is for real. They are going to play the pistons in the eastern confrence finals and it is going to be an absoulte dog-fight. I personally can't wait for the NBA playoffs to start. I havent said that forever.

I got to see the game being on TNT last night.....Pretty impressive win without KG. Down the stretch I would like to see the ball move more' date=' and end of in Allen's hands sometimes instead of the 'give it to Pierce and get out of the way' routine. See, I disagree. I'd give the ball to Pierce before Allen with the game on the line because Pierce is better at creating his own shot.

Exactly.

 

As much as I was displeased that the ball was given to Pierce in those situations, because Allen has a better shot, Pierce needs to have it because of this fact, and it took me a little bit to realize that was why. What they really need to do is inbound it to Pierce, have KG post up and run Allen around a Perkins pick, that'd probably be the most ideal play to run.

What was the deadline for signing free agents and having them eligible for the playoffs? If I'm not mistaken, you can sign free agents throughout the year, but if they aren't signed by such and such date, they can't play in the playoffs for you.

 

Reason I ask, Sam Cassell.... I think that deadline was March 1st, which would mean he's not eligible for the playoffs. But I have to be honest, basketball is only my 3rd favorite sport, and only because hockey declined to boycott status after the strike, so I'm not as good with the little rules.

Sean I was thinking last night- I hadnt laid a bet down since the superbowl and I was LOVING the C's last night straight up. They match up very well agains the Rockets.

 

The west isn't so scary. Utah and a healthy LA team are all that scares me over there.

 

Cleveland as the 4 seed and then Detroit in the next round scares me more.

 

Powe looked great, again, and their D was superb. I thought Cassell was thowing the game near halftime. He needs to play more down the stretch and get comfortable with the big things.... like dribbling and passing.
