I'm starting to think Kazmir is a bit overrated. He gets a lot of help from hitters chasing because he has no control. I'll bet the pitches he puts on the corners are a blind squirrel finding a nut. He takes effective wildness to a very high level.

I would take Kazmir over Lester, Wake, Schill and maybe even DiceK for the regular season. It's not that he's nasty, he's a lefty that knows how to pitch and has a good fastball and is young. To me, Lester at his best will be another Kazmir... I don't think Lester will be better than Kazmir at any point.

I'm not saying he isn't any good or that I wouldn't want him. It's just that I don't think he's what he gets hyped to be by some. Perhaps I'm getting more of the hype since I live in FL and have to listen to the local sports talk radio and Rays broadcast.

4-1 Jays, runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 down.

Why is Gibbons leaving Halladay in, especially with Matsui up?

EDIT: Nevermind, Downs' numbers suck against Matsui and Halladay's better against him anyway. Posada up with 2 down....

Huge break for the Yankees there as Overbay couldn't handle a low throw from Hill. Now they have a chance as Cano represents the winning run, but Downs is coming in.

What happened to Accardo? They give it up to the Yankees like no other team I've seen in recent years. Complete doormats for them.

John Gibbons should have taken Halladay the f*** out when he started to let baserunners on. Instead, he left him in.

Goddamn.

its not that, its aaron f***ing hill and overbay's fault, and personaly i would have let halladay in

Halladay certainly agrees with you, given the stupid s*** that his defense pulled behind him. None of those balls were hard hit, let him finish the s*** out. I seriously felt like I was watching a fixed ballgame. I'm not that conspiratorial, but it did feel that way for a minute. Damn it.

First career triple for the kid. I heard somewhere that this ST we'll be seeing comptition for the backup 1st base job, newly acquired Chris Carter and Brandon Moss. The Sox will be sending Moss to the Fall League to get some work in at 1st base

3 outs away from Beckett getting his 20th W of the season :D

Well' date=' the 3 pitches he threw to the walk-groveller after it was 1-2 might make me agree with you Ex.[/quote']

The three balls were a high fastball, changeup away which slipped a little, and a fastball that didn't run back over the inside corner. Before that Abreu fouled off a good two strike slider on the hands.

Those are legitimate strikeout pitches. What's the problem?

EDIT: He just didn't execute.

I wasn't serious. I'm following on Gameday, and it just gives location. None of them were close, so a joked about it.
