My diatribe and poor smushed remotes from last evening notwithstanding....I took some Xanax. And LOT's of ETOH. I'll be fine. Gom? Gom? whereforartthou? It's too bad our pitchers don't measure up w/ their bats. I'd give anything to be at tomorrow's Clemens massacre. Allegedly. I wouldn't want to put out that kind of mojo prior.

Go Tiggers!

If the Sox win tomorrow and push the Yanks back to 6.5' date=' we've buried their hopes for the division. Magic number down to single digits bitches....9![/quote']

It's gonna be close. But if we can keep up what we dished out tonight, and not just against the Yankees, it'll happen.

Yesss Sox win, now 90-59. Back to 31 games above 500. The lead is back at 5.5 games and oh yea the Magic Number is now 9

Beckett stepped up and more, he now holds a glowing record of 19-6. His next 2 games are against Tampa Bay and Minnesota. Good shot as any to get a Cy Young award for his mantel

Enough of this negativity, Ive done it and I hate myself for doing so. Theres a 5.5 game lead with 13 f***ing games to go. October is nearing and adrenaline is in the air, its f***ing on

lol, last night I felt like I was the only person who felt like we were going to bury the Yanks today. I don't know why, but I just had a feeling that Beckett was going to put on a clinic and we were taking this game no matter what. Schilling vs Clemens tomorrow? I like our chances in that game.

The Sox need to go 10-3 to reach 100 wins on the season with 1 game left against the Yanks, 3 at Toronto, 3 at Tampa Bay, 2 vs the A's and 4 vs the Twins. It can happen, but pretty unlikely. I like the Sox to finish with 98 wins.

I was able to be the top bidder for a single ticket for tomorrows game. Ill be sitting in the 3rd baseline, mmm right close by the Yankees dugout. "Roger" "Roger" chants aplenty, make sure to try & swindle my friends digital camera before i head out tomorrow

Great news! Have a blast and GO Sox!!

This was just a great win today all together. Seriously Beckett showed us what he is made out of, Ellsbury has to be the starting RF in the playoffs. He is way more productive than J.D. He is an igniter, and he is going to be great to watch over the next 5-10 years. With Pedroia, Ellsbury, and Buchholz our future looks pretty damn bright.

Nice win today for the Sox. It was especially impressive to see them bounce back after what happened last night, but that's why Beckett is the ace.

Overall, the last two nights have been very disapointing for the Yanks, in my opinion, because there two best starters were so poor against a playoff-caliber team.

So much for last night's rant by elsrbueno that Becektt is not an ace and he can not pitch in big games

wtf, Tito says Gagne wont be used today? Last time I checked he hasnt been overworked, unless he is hurting again. The best asset he brings the Sox in the end, just might be the comp draft pick when he signs with someone else

Or he hadn't pitched in two week until Tuesday and maybe he doesn't want to put too much stress on the shoulder.

Or something.

He continues to impress me. Textbook swings' date=' taking pitch after pitch whether its a strike or ball, unbelieveable eye on this guy. Never saw a pitch he liked, and I love his dirtdog attitude. I love how he gets so pissed off after leaving the bases loaded, really shows his unbelievable heart and love for the game. A true gamer.[/quote']

What the f***? The guy got on base three times AND had the game winning RBI and he still gets s*** on.

f*** that.

J.D has played better of late, but seriously the way you have been talking about him lately makes it seems like he has done anything this season. Wouldn't you rather have Ellsbury in RF rather than Drew when Manny gets back?

Hey ******* I've been in that boat for a month now. ;)

PS Sox starters this series:

12.2 IP, 7H, 14K, 7BB, 3ER (1.10 WHIP, 2.13 ERA)

Yanks starters this series:

9.2 IP, 18H, 8K, 5BB, 9ER (2.48 WHIP, 8.37ERA)

Where are all the Yankee trolls now?

In 11 September games JD Drew has a 1.037 OPS.

So my answer? No. Plus Jacoby has a s***** arm for RF anyways.

I'm a Yankee fan and I'm here, but I wouldn't consider myself a troll.

Nor would I, in fact I enjoy reading your posts the most out of any Yankee fan.

You're very objective. That's commendable.

I disagree. Jacoby just makes things happen, Drew is a singles hitter right now and he doesn't bring the speed element than Ellsbury does. I don't maybe you are right, but how can you justify not letting him play when he has been so damn productive all season long, at every level he has played at?
