I guess they might have read my complaints about the home run draught(18th in league after houston and SD).

Seriously - I never thought Drew will hit another long ball in this season.

Gagne picks up where he left off' date=' giving up runs as he goes. Leave him in middle relief for the rest of the season. Timlin/Bucholz, Okajima, Papelbon please[/quote']

Good call - Lopez and MDC have been all-right also.

Anyway happy to see Gagne finish the game. Can't trust him with 7 run lead.

f***ers won, barely.

f***ing win tomorrow.

Yeah, 6 runs is such a close game.

Gagne only allowed a run because of the defensive indifference, BTW.

You'd prefer he did it with his glove?

No I prefer he does not do it when he is on TV - may be do in the locker room if they itch.

Anybody here thinks that Belli is expandable now that Cash is showing some offence as well as catching knuckleball well. I would like to see Wake back next year as much as he has been unpredictable this year. I just think that Belli is such a waste of roaster spot.

I also think that we may want to give Cash a chance to catch our other pitchers if we clinche the division( fingers crossed). May be he will be able to share the load with Tek next year as Kotaras has not really developed as we expected him to.

This is immature, I know, but I gotta share:

We had a kid on our HS team that used to scratch his balls and ass constantly...it was hilarious.

When I was a Soph I didn't play much and he was a Sr.

So we younger guys had the the scorekeeper keep track of how many times he went to the balls or ass in an at-bat, in an inning, etc. then tally it all up.

If I recall correctly he had one at bat with like 28 ball/ass scratches/picks and ended up one game somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 touches to those areas.

Funniest thing was a buddy of mine was an electrician doing a job at the high school 20 years later and he was in the classroom of our coach...the coach still had the scorebook and in it were these notations that the scorekeeper had made regarding the ass/ball-picking.

Ahhh, back in the day when life was easy and being an immature ******* was ok.

Do you do nose scratch/nostril insertions in the Little League scorebook?

On my college soccer team we had a Jamaican dude who was faster than Roger Clemens exit from a post season pitching appearance. Anyways, when we had to run our 3 mile runs he would always finish well ahead of the rest of us. Coach told us one day that if the Jamaican beat us all in the next run we would keep running until he was tired. We put some Panther balm in his jock before the run and needless to say the Jamaican didn't finish the first quarter mile that day.

No. Kevin Cash has a career 27 OPS+.
