Yankee fans just try to defend that the throw out wasnt warranted. Im sorry but back to back pitches over a batter's head is clearly intentional. ooh boy Beckett is going to play bean ball if he pitches against NY in Boston. Its going to be a fun series just you wait

I have a feeling these three close (well until last inning) games might swing in the red sox favor with the fenway crowd behind them.

Just need to beat the teams on the schedule. I want 90 wins by the time we see the yankees in a few weeks. That's 10-3 against the O's (7), Tor (3), and TB(3). Only 4 of the Baltimore games are on the road, the rest are at home. And no Bedard, he got hurt in his last start.

Why is it that the Red Sox never can put the Yankees out, yet it seems the Yankees always put the Red Sox out so easily? All we needed was 1 win in this series to keep the Yanks from gaining momentum. This sweep will give them a ton of confidence and I'm afraid of what the Yankees might do to the bad teams they're about to face. It's real nice to see the sox playing their hearts out...

It's not the end of the season yet and no time for panic, but this is very disappointing.

It was smart considering in the 8th the game was still in the balance. Although I think he would have thrown at youk no matter when he came up.

Not that I'm condoning the point, but this makes zero sense. The game being close in the 8th has no bearing on what he said.

Yep the defense begins

Ok it was smart.

1- What yankee batters were hit in this game? How about none

2- What did Youkilis do to get thrown at? His f***ing avoidance of the tag by Arod?

What???? Why was it smart and why would he throw at youk, there was no reason?

sox are doing a great job of swinging at bad pitches, and not swinging at good ones.....seems to be the story of this series.

You going to answer?

That was an odd ending for a great series.

It makes no sense to me why Joba would throw at Youk, especially up there. It looks bad, but I still don't know what to think about that.

I don't know for sure since im following the game online. But it seemed like a play that tito gets thrown out over might be one that fired up the yanks. Sounds like not though.

What did Youkilis do that so bad?

I'm surprised the ejection wasn't overturned when Torre walked out of the dugout

Are you implying that the right call wasn't made on the baseline play?

No' date=' just that the Yankees catch more breaks than the Red Sox have this season[/quote']

Youkilis ran out of the baseline. I don't see any break.

Yo, it's Gomes. I really like Bonds. I think we should pick him up for whatever price they ask.

As a big Red Sox fan, I'm really pleased with the start. Beckett is up for the Cy Young this year in the AL, anyone disagree?

You got swept monkey boy!

Alrighty lol

Is anyone else really worried about having to face the Yankees in the playoffs? Since they got they're pitching staff together' date=' we have had trouble beating them.[/quote']

we may not even face them

Truthfully, the Mariners scare me more

The Mariners scare me when we have to play in SafeCo, but the Yankees scare me more overall.

I think the Yankees will make the Wild Card or, god forbid, the division is still very much in reach for the Yankees if the Sox don't play well.
