I will actually be pretty happy if someone else can catch Wake. I have always thought that Doug is very limited and we are kinda stuck with him because of the wake factor.

Probably no call up for Ellsbury today. They cant go into tonights game with 1 catcher, so it might just be Dusty Brown from the Portland Sea Dogs. Kottaras is in Ottawa right now so no enough time to get him to Boston

Nationals acquired outfielder Wily Mo Pena and cash from the Red Sox for a player to be named.

 

The Red Sox are expected to go with Jacoby Ellsbury and then Bobby Kielty as the replacement for Pena, though they could have some interest in Craig Monroe. Pena may not last in Washington, but he's likely to have a 35-homer season in the majors before the end of the decade. He's still just 25 years old. Nook Logan, Ryan Langerhans and Ryan Church will lose at-bats to him.
