anyone else watch this? i use to back when i was like 12, 13, 14. Haven't really been into it though the last couple of years. But this year my hometown is in it, the same team i played for a couple years ago, so i think thats pretty cool. Its really a big deal around here, today they had an hour rally in the center of town support the team and there was a pretty big outcome of people. look out for Walpole, MA this year in Williamsport, the best baseball town in the state. :D

first game, 2:00 Friday on ESPN. Walpole LL vs. the Great Lakes regional champ West Side LL, Ohio

not sure yet if im going to make the trip down, but definitely will be if they make it out of pool play.

one of the best baseball games, definitely the best little league game, ive ever seen yesterday. if u didnt see it, it was 1-0 ohio going into the top of the 6th, walpole scores 2 on a double with 1 out, so thye go up 3-1 into the bottom of the 6th. walpole pitcher hits the leadoff man, couple past balls and a hit later, its 3-2 with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs. The pitcher for walpole had reached 85 pitches at this point and had to come out, so walpole brought in the "closer" for the last out. got ahead of him 1-2 and on the next pitch the kid hits a deep fly ball to straight away center, i thought it was gone, so didnt everyone else. but the walpole CF reached over the fence and robbed the kid of a gamewinning HR. it was the #1 play on sportscenters top plays last night and this morning. wicked intense game. its pretty sick knowing a bunch of people mentioned on ESPN to. I have to head down there if they reach the semi's, since i know a lot of the kids and i'm friends with the coach.

Beck, I was at their Northeast Region final game vs. Shelton, Ct. as I know some of the Shelton parents.

During warm-ups Walpole looked like a bunch of clowns. During the game? They turned it on and ripped 6HRs on the way to a 14-4 win.

I'm in their corner for sure and will be watching when they play. My kid (11 yr old) is totally into it too, watches many of the games. HE likes the Walpole SS, Johnny Adams (?), the kid is solid.

This Arizona team can mash. Leadoff HR on the first pitch. Now the sacks are full with none out after that, 3-1 count, the Mayland pitcher is rattled, just walked in a run.

That MA kid who robbed the game winning home run to make the last out must be on an all-time high right now. That was incredible.

yea adams looks like he'll be a stud. he has a brother who's going to be a freshman in high school next year who is pretty good to. Thats one thing about walpole baseball though, we dont warm up as serious as other teams do, just kinda loose and relaxed, and then once the game starts, just turn it on.

haha ya, hes fastest kid on the team whos come up in the clutch for them all season. In the regional final he hit a grand slam, then the catch to win the game. and he's been getting a lot of press to, hopefully it doesnt get to this head. doubt it will though.

I flipped it on yesterday when i got home just in time to see the catch in center. Great camera work by ESPN to show that the ball was def gone and the kid brought it back. I try to watch what i can...i didn't miss a game last year when Portsmouth, NH was the NE rep (my hometown and the team i played for back in the day) Here's hoping they bring it home!
