I'm guessing 40-19 is a lot closer to .670.

Ya know, I was wondering why that seemed so goddamn high. Thank you.

My bad folks. ORS's "guess" is actually pretty good. B)

Will edit...

Does anyone else hate Alex Cora as much as I do?

That was a pathetic at bat.

Your disdain for him probably outweighs mine. I like that he can provide adequate defense at 2B or SS and can lay down a bunt or hit it to the right side from the bottom of the order. We could have better, but much better and they would be demanding to play every day. Cora is easy for the team to deal with and fills his role nicely. He's just not a very good hitter.

I guess he's good for what he does, but the "smartest player in baseball" s*** has got to go, especially since he's made some real bonehead plays like the missed sign on the hit and run the other night.

How is he late on a Reyes FB? He's got good location, but his FB is grade A slop in terms of velocity and movement. And the last one wasn't even located. We've got to do this, the season, without the hammer.

Papi's swing has definitely looked slow recently. The first pitch of that AB was a belt high fastball on the inner half. Golf shot territory.

I know he's got a couple hits this game, but when Papi's not doing well, he's God-awful. I'm starting to wonder if his knee is bothering him more than he's saying, or if something else is wrong with him.

I imagine the torn meniscus in his knee has something to do with it. He's swinging with his arms more than anything.

It's got to be hard to be Dwayne Staats. I mean, he's calling games for the Devil Rays. You really have to search for good things to say when it comes to hometown ball washing when the team has been around 10 years and won less than 40% of its games. I will give Dwayne credit, though. He is vigorous in his application of warm soapy water to the testicular region of Rays players, no matter how much overall suckitude they display.

Damn, hot shot right Iwamura.
