Manny has lost a step on his batspeed. It is becoming pretty obvious.

 

In the past there was only a handful of fastballs that could get by him, and many that would sail over the fence. Nowadays he can still hit decent fastballs (92-93) but he seems to be fouling off much more than that, and simply not catching up to the harder stuff.

 

Not that its easy, because it's not. I think it is a big reason why our offense has been less than spectacular over the past month+.
