Pedroia has always had the same swing and has always had people telling him to change that swing. and he's always struggled when he's first arrived at a new level. good on him to not let people change him

I'm not so sold on this kid. I don't know if he will make it in the long haul. I think it may be more a flash in the pan kinda thing.

No surprise there. This is the first thing everyone says when someone they predicted would, "Never make it", starts performing. It's straight from the script.

I said that from the beginning. I also said that about Bernie Williams, and we see how that turned out.

Sorry ORS, I don't suck the cock of everyone on my team because he is a rookie. I just don't see what is so enticing about the guy. His bat speed isn't that great, his footwork at second base and turning the dp isn't special...

Eh...I could be wrong, but I think he won't adjust when the pitchers do. I do want him to succeed though, he looks like a gamer from the few games I have seen him play.

He's never going to amaze anyone, but he's done what he's doing now at every level of competition. You might not like his D because he's got no flash, but in 2 months he was 4 runs above average. That rates out to just over one defensive win for the season. It's not spectacular, but's it's damn solid. Comparatively, Cano was just under one defensive win for the season last year, and by most accounts Cano had a good defensive year last year with less of the Cano-no blunders he had two years ago and this year.

You don't suck every cock? Notice how that statement isn't totally exclusive. In other words, there is some cock you will suck. Nice admission.

With that cloning yourself and being gay question CrespoBlows posted, I don't think anyone is sure anymore.

I don't know how it is in Boston, but in New York, the spin machine ridiculously hypes every player that comes up, in part to boost their potential trade value. The players who tend to make it are the ones that aren't overlly hyped. Jeter, Posada, Mariano, Wang, even on the other side of town, Reyes and Wright, etc. Being a huge media market, there is some hype, but when a player is hyped too much, it gets me to start thinking.

I disagree with Jacko on all these prospects. If you gave me a chance to trade Hughes for Teixera, I would do it in a heartbeat. Prospect is just that. A prospect, and not a sure thing.
