Well Ted, they sure as hell aren't any good; otherwise both Seattle and the Angels would have held on to those bums. Let's see, in 2004 we had DiNardo for awhile stinking up the joint, in 2005 Mantei and Halama, last year Seanez and Johnson. Do we always have to have one or two pitchers (sometimes more) who are totally useless on our staff? Oh yes, that's right---when we need garbage time. I think no one will dispute Romero being a bum. You only had to see how A-Rod, Cano and Giambi walloped him (the last two were lefties by the way) Friday when he tried to make it impossible for us to come back to see that if he lasts out the year Theo has to have a brain cramp. Lopez would have been better. As for Pineiro, well four million is a lot of reasons to keep that guy around.

One of those games guys. I notice that Lugo and Youk have been leaving men on base at an alarming rate and another stat jumps right out at you. David and Manny, 0 for 9 tonight. Can't win with that kind of hitting from our two biggest guns and Wakefield was due for a crapola game sooner or later. What's bad is that we have to face Halladay tomorrow with Taverez opposing him. If Julian can only rise to the occasion and our two boppers go five for nine tomorrow, maybe we can pull it out. The Yankees lost, though, and I think Baltimore did, too, so we didn't lose any ground. Would have been great to pick up another game, though.

Cmon Fred, a crapola game from Wake? He still gave up 4 runs tonight in 6 innings, while having to work around 2 Sox errors. When your team is facing Ohka, you expect them to blow him out and easily get 4 runs or more off of him

wakes been fine

even in this case the bullpen didnt get shellacked and we were in it till late

 

we didnt have this luxury last summer

our 4-5 starters were knocked out by the 4th inning and our pen took a beating

this year our starters have produced huge innings thus far
