Anyone else watching the rest of the games?

King Felix is mowing them down with 98 mph gas, 5K through 4. Haren isn't setting them down like that, but both have only surrendered 1 H in 4 frames.

ESPN must have the gun juiced for the Santana game because Bedard has hit 94, 96 twice, and 98 on the gun. Right.

The King has fanned 9 with 2 hits and a walk in 6 IP. He had his sophomore slump last year. Is now the time he becomes the ace everyone envisions?

Sweet I just traded Dan Haren for him. Question since I dont get him officially until tomorrow does his stats count in my team or the team he's about to be traded from?

EDIT: Damn look around baseball, a mass of good starters are getting torched in their 1st games

Yeah, that's a good stat line. I think he's done for the night (97 pitches). Consistency is the key. He's looked this good several times before, but he needs to follow it up. He'll run away with the CY, and draw Pedro comparisons, if he gets consistent.

What else did you trade Haren for to get Felix Hernandez?

Nice DP by Castillo for the Bucs against the 'Stros. He dove and snared a hot shot on the fly off Lee's bat then flipped the ball to Wilson to tag up Everett who thought it was getting through.

Xavier Nady with the 2-out gopher off Lidge. He K'd Laroche and got Paulino to hit a grounder to SS, but he looks like s***. C'mon, spit the bit Brad. I need Wheeler to get the closer role for my fantasy team.

Bautista doubles.....

Walks Doumit....

Down 0-2, the immortal Don Kelly battles back to 3-2 and fists one over Everett's head, but Adam makes a nice running grab.

2-2 into the 10th.

I think it was ....

Felix, Aramis, Shields

for

Haren, Wright, Gordon

Pretty even trade. I'm not sure I'd want Shields since he's a set-up guy.

I don't see it that way. Haren won't put up Felix numbers, but I like Wright better than ARam this year, and Gordon is miles more valuable than Shields.

Shields will give a few more innings, but yes, Gordon is worth more. ARam will have better power numbers than Wright. And Felix will give much more K's. If you have K and K/9IP then Felix makes this deal .

But Wright will hit for more BA, and OBP is a category. Like I said, it's a pretty even trade, but I give the nod the way I do because of Gordon being a closer.
