I would put Ortiz and Manny ahead of Bonds and Kent IMO, I think if they stay together for 2-3 more years, then they could be 2-3 on this list.

I'm not clear on the formulas that allowed them to come up w/ this list. But I hope Bonds retires before he gets Hank's record. Not b/c of steroids or HGH, because he's an ass and there will always be those "question" marks.

Granted, he was a Hall of Famer prior to the "steroid era" but faaaack him.

the funniest thing is' date=' in about 5 yrs we will ALL be rooting for ARod to break Bonds record because its better to have a fair play pussy with the title than a cheating ******* with it.[/quote']

ya right

id carve my anus out with a rusty swiss army knife before i rooted for arod or anyone from ny to do anything positive...

of course if he was playing here i'd have a different perspective on things

baseballs power# s dont mean s*** anymore

after the entire nation was flim flammed by the commisionars office and then mark mcguire sammy sosa and then bonds

i dont think the luster on the home run record is what it once was

.400 and 56 will still mean something

but the others i fear will forever be tarnished

For a 3 yr period...1936-1938...the post-Ruth era, Dimaggio and Gehrig were an awesome 1-2 punch (or should I say 3-4).

1936

Gehrig .354 49 HR 152 RBI

Dimag .323 29 HR 125 RBI

1937

Gehrig .351 37 159

Dimag .346 46 167

1938

Gehrig .295 29 114

Dimag .324 32 140
