yankees .. there not a team .. there just a bunch of hierd guns brought in to win and the have not won at all. against us in 04 lost .... against az ' date=' lost , detroit , lost .. but if you look back at there champion teams the had solid guys not all stars .. but they had a soild team[/quote']

Guess who has the highest payroll of any team to ever win the World Series.

let me guess its us right

Yep.

It's interesting to think of that when we complain about the state of the two team's payrolls...and there still is a huge discrepancy.

But it's still something to think about.

As of now the average age of each staff is 31.6 years old.

In other words, you're both wrong.

But experimenting with the single most important inning of any game is an easy way to lose 3' date='4, or even 5 games that should be victories. That is a 6,8,10 game swing.....[/quote']

The first day seemed like a week and the second day seemed like five days. And the third day seemed like a week again and the fourth day seemed like eight days. And the fifth day you went to see your mother and that seemed just like a day, and then you came back and later on the sixth day, in the evening, when we saw each other, that started seeming like two days, so in the evening it seemed like two days spilling over into the next day and that started seeming like four days, so at the end of the sixth day on into the seventh day, it seemed like a total of five days. And the sixth day seemed like a week and a half. I have it written down, but I can show it to you tomorrow if you want to see it.

Nice spin, but that was not his comment. He said nothing about average age he said they have old pitchers.

I don't like this. Didn't doctors say his arm can;t take the strain of pitching every day and he needs to be a starter? If there is even a shred of doubt he shouldn't be put back in the pen the last thing we need to do is screw up the kids arm.

Papelbon is a helluva pitcher and one that can be a star for the Red Sox for years if they don't ruin him by running him back to the bullpen. The doctors themselves said relief pitching every day, whether he pitches or just warms up, could take a toll on his arm. Theo seems determined to keep him as a starter and to me that's the best move possible. The only fly in the ointment is when Piniero inevitably proves he cannot do the job, what then? Hansen would have been a great fit but he regressed last year, and as for the rest, how many chances are they going to get in ST games to give Francona a chance to decide who can do the job and who can't. It would have been great if we could have made a trade for Cordero but that seems out of the picture now and we can only hope that someone steps up and wins the spot because Paps down there is a sure way of ruining the arm of a damn good pitcher.

You said that the Yankees can't beat team oriented teams. You said the only non-team oriented team are in fact the Yankees.

Hmm...it's a wonder they aren't 0-162.
