Rice should get in over McGwire.

as much as that is nice to think for us Red Sox fans, McGwire pulled the game out of the dark ages, and I could not care less if he was taking steroids, especially since at the time, they were legal.

yeah, some idiots voters need their ballots taken from them. i mean if a guy is an obvious HOF, who honestly cares if he gets a unanimous vote and other old timers didnt...so what, all it proves is that there has always been some ******* baseball writer who probably had a grudge/bias against certain obvious HOF'ers and refused to vote for them.

as for mac, someone please feel free to correct me if im wrong, but i thought the only thing he admitted to using was andro and creatine (misc. bodybuilding suppliments), but there was no proof that he took steriods? while steroids were illegal per the federal governement, only the IOC banned andro out of all of the professional sports leagues out there.

You are right about the andro eZ. It's the only thing he admitted to, hell, he couldn't deny it because it was there in his locker when he gave interviews, but it was legal at the time. I was in the Marines then, and they sold andro over the counter at the GNC on base. I used to go one month on and one month off during our 7 month deployments to Okinawa. There wasn't much to do there on an enlisted salary other than drink and work-out. I hated creatine though. It pumped you up, but it dehydrated the s*** out of you. With all the running/hiking we did, you had to constantly drink water if you were taking creatine.

yeah tell me about it...i never used andro myself, but for awhile me and my dad were using creatine regularly when we'd hit the gym, up until they started linking health problems (liver or kidney damage?) if you use it all the time. my pops had cancer about 8-10 years ago and they had to remove a kidney and part of his bladder, so needless to say, he was advised to either use it very sparingly, or not at all.

Yes, liver damage. If you use creatine in excess you'll need a new liver by the time you're 30.
