So I cant be sad or filled up with emotion because my team lost in the playoffs? That democracy

You have every right to. I just found that post funny.

I was referring about the above posts saying that Pats fans have no reason to complain or be frustrated about the loss

No, we do. I'm just saying that it's frustrating to watch some of our fans be sour for too long about this. We've been here before and we shouldn't be that upset about losing. You have to look at all the success we've had, and realize that it just doesn't continue. The glory days are most likely coming to an end, and these endings are going to become a lot more common.

Unbelievable game, glad to see Peyton win a big game. I saw a huge change in his play when he threw that long incomplete pass off Harrison's hands. He stepped up and knowingly took the hit. After that he took the game over.

I hate New England for lots of reasons, so I'll sleep happy knowing they lost.

No, you cannot have another Super Bowl, New England.

Not yours.

16 seconds left, Brady can make something happen...Brady is God, Brady is amazing, Brady can---INTERCEPTION! BURN! BURRRRRRRRRRN!

ROFL!!!

where the f*** is crunchy now? he was the one leading the pack of myopic fans with the needless insults to dungy and manning...

and as much as i hate peyton and the colts...i was rooting like crazy that they'd win and put a dent in brady's post-season record. how f***ing priceless was it that their season ended on an interception since that's how it should have ended last weekend....talk about irony!

i get that the chicago defense came out to play and dominated, but this is a different game if it was played on either a neutral site (with weather not being a factor) or in a dome. that field was so s***** it was ridiculous...did you see how bad people were sliding and falling all over the place?

i thought the saints had a chance...especially since they had the momentum goin into the half...but after that TD pass to berrian early in the 4th, i just knew it was over...after seeing the final score im glad i stopped watching. that being said...i probably will pay more attention to the commercials than the actual game itself since i couldnt give a s*** about chicago...and as for indy, i could live with peyton getting one ring in his career, if only to enhance the rivalry.

Is it safe to say that in the way that the Patriots have owned the Colts in the past, the Colts are now beginning to own the Patriots similarly? I know that's going to draw some heat here but think about it and I don't mean to be so frank with it. Peyton Manning has torched the Patriots in the last three meetings (about 105 points in three games) and I think it's because you can't surprise him anymore. He's seen everything you guys tried to do today and once he knows what you're doing, it's over. Despite the numbers, the Colts defense played very well today. They made the Patriots work just enough for everything they got. Their first three drives they had a third and long on each. In the second half they got some big three and outs to maintain momentum.

You can't say enough about Bob Sanders. The guy is everywhere and this defense is night and day without and without him.

That was a good game to watch, allaround, wasnt that sloppy, and was just back and forth in the fourth, thats what the people want to see, becuase you know that you got one QB who can handle that situation, and one your not sure about. I think that games going to be the best of the playoffs, and good luck to the Colts in the Superbowl.

the line to kick me in the balls starts on the right

im guilty

i accept responsibility

1 more 1st down with 3 to play wouldve been enuff

im sick

congrads to the colts and their fans from indiana and baltimore

the rest of the bangwagoneers deserve a dose of herpes simplex 10 on their lips

32 2nd half points was indeed impressive as it eclipsed the 5 other halfs of their playoff football

anyone seen reche caldwell today?

i only wish we were in the army where shooting him would be an act of national security

memo to bob kraft

it wasnt if it was when the money he saved under the cap came out to bite him

it wasnt if it was when.....and he almost pulled it off

too bad it was late in the 4th quarter of the afc championship game

1 more 1st down and i think we had em...

our defense aged mighty quickly in the last 35 minutes of that game

the defense needs some help next year

unfortunetly our best dback will be playing somewhere else and our backfield assassin will retire i feel

rodney may have made a difference

colvins absense was crushing in the 2nd half

tedy b was a complete non factor

the 15 yarder head slap call on seymour was the end for us

apologies once again and once again congrads to the afc champions from indi

they deserve it

my money is on the Pats.

fuk. if my money wasn't also on the over I'd be really fkn pi$$ed.

I did not expect this game to be close. After the 1st half I was sure I was right. Didn't see this coming at all.

Congrats to the Colts, they made the key adjustments.

(However, I still think Dungy takes Gordon Johncock's victory flag up the arse)

thank you james

i needed a lift today as the cajun rice with cheriso is still stuck in my throat after caldwell dropped his 2nd ball of the 4th quarter

i know a guy

who knows a guy

who takes action

and he tells me that they made more money yesterday than on any other day in their business over the last 20 years

everyone had new orleans

everyone had the pats

everyone had new orleans and the pats marinated

somewhere im thinking deion branch was in tears knowing he wouldve made those plays

somewhere bb is thinking about letting him walk and being 13M under the cap

somewhere big bob is reaming jonjon out over not getting branch in camp

and somewhere else assante samuel has called casey and hayes and the moving trucks are packing him up and getting ready to move him out of massachusetts

a great year

better than i expected considering the situation

tuff way to end the season

how many tight ends will they draft this april?

Won't draw heat from me. When the Colts won last night that's immediately what I started to think. I hope it's not true ... but I can't help but think it's possible. :(

Bill Parcells, "the Tuna", has retired from coaching. I'll never forgive him for just ditching the Pats and taking Curtis Martin with him. But eh he did build the Patriots back into a more respectable team in his days. Always loved seeing him go after Drew on the sidelines

Great coach, but yeah, he was a dick to us. But without him no great coach in Bill Belichick, and others that he mentored. I am suprised he elft an unfinished Cowboy team like that though, but w/e, happy trails Tuna.

parcells won nothing without the best football player ever

one lawrence taylor

and the best coach ever

one bb

he did indeed take a s***** team to the verge of the promised land and taught a lot of marginal players how to win

he also had some pretty good groceries delivered to him

he also objected to a lot of decisions greir and kraft made

terry glenn did turn out alright

the defense he had with tj,law, brewski milloy and mcginest all are still playing 10 years after he left boston(exception of tj)

he did his best coaching with the jets IMO

they sucked and he turned them around and they almost had that denver team beat and went to the superbowl

they didnt

f***him

if he wasnt making travel plans with leon hess we may have beaten that greenbay team and max lane wouldnt be the international symbol for ole and desmond howards name would be known from michigan not green bay

lol, u went to sleep right after the game!? i know you're back east but c'mon...with all the smack you were running before the game, i thought you'd come in and eat crow sooner, but whatever.

...anyway, its not like you're the first person to feel confident about their team only to have them lose...dude relax, just glad to see you give credit where its due.

i guess this means jerry jones is bringing terrell owens back??

and for all u reche caldwell haters...yes he had a bad game for you, but without his spectacular catch against the chargers last week, you're not even in this game...but i know how you guys feel...i felt the same way about eric 'f***head' parker having the worst game of his career and single-handedly made me wonder if someone had pics of him doing something he didnt want to get out...

Who said he was a hack? I swear Patriots fans play the victim better than anyone else in sports.

I just saw it laugahble when he posted "put a dent in Brady's playoff record". Its gonna take more losses than that to ruin his playoff record. Uh-oh I said another thing pro-Brady. You can bash that if you want, I also have stuttered since I was 10 years old so feel free to bash that too.

The Pats beat themselves last night, the defense just gave up. Youre not gonna win a lot of games when your defense gives up 32 points in the 2nd half. From posts Ive seen from non-Pats fans, there seems to be a belief that Tom Brady is no longer to be scared of when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter. The Pats will still be back with Brady at the helm next season to make another run for the playoffs, plain & simple.

Tom Brady is the best playoff QB in the game today. But has he ever led a team on a game-winning touchdown drive in the playoffs?

There is a difference between driving 80 yards when you're on the 20 so 50 yards to just get it in FG range. I had confidence the Colts were going to win when the Pats were down 4 instead of 3.

And yeah, the defense kinda sucked. But why didn't the Pats continue to run the ball? They didn't give the D a break at all. Awful play-calling and awful execution by the entire Pats offense played a big role in the 2nd half, too.

defense gave up ? cant you just admit that the colts offense was just too much for the pats , its the SECOND time this year that the colts offense has torched the patriots , face it things change they dont have the answer anymore to stop manning like they did before

It's kind of amazing how the "defense just gave out." It was definitely more like "the Colts just kicked our asses." They came out, and wanted it more. It's that easy. We didn't necessarily choke, as we still put up 13 2nd half points...it's just that the Colts scored 32! Peyton and the Colts completely deserved what they accomplished last night, and they whooped our asses. It's as simple as that. The Colts deserve the credit more than the Patriots deserve the blame. The Colts were just simply super-human last night.

I agree...to a point. They showed a graphic at one point, between the end of the 2nd quarter and middle of the 3rd, the Colts had run 29 of 30 offensive plays in the game. What do the Patriots proceed to do? 3 and out....calling a pass on 3rd and 2. After Faulk had gained 8 yards!

1-10-NE18 (8:09) T.Brady pass incomplete short right to R.Caldwell

2-10-NE18 (8:04) K.Faulk up the middle to NE 26 for 8 yards (R.Mathis).

3-2-NE26 (7:23) (Shotgun) T.Brady pass short left to H.Evans pushed ob at NE 26 for no gain (A.Bethea, J.David).

When your 3rd best RB gains 3 yards, why not pound it with Dillon or Maroney on 3rd and short?

I have to say that changed the game. The defense was gassed, and they started to cramp up. Poor playcalling and poor execution.

Posted

Yeah, they had the same trouble during the regular season the game. They just didn't run enough for some reason.

Anyway, I believe that the thing that killed us more than anything was the "12 men in the huddle" penalty. That was completely uncharacteristic and we ended up being 4 yards short of a first down, forcing us to punt that drive away. It really irritated me. If we converted that first down we're most likely talking about a different AFC team in the superbowl right now.
