Yes, the same thing was said when Pedro left town, same thing when Mueller wasn't re-signed. How about we give it more than 1 year and then decided? Pedro's arm pretty much fell off and the FO's is 2 for 2 with the Petey and Mueller decisions.

 

If Damon declines heavily by year 3 it will be a good decision IMO. His defense is already slipping and his arm has always been a noodle.

And if Coco and Damon's careers both ended today then you would be correct. Lets see where each is in 5 years. I'm not even a fan of Coco but he will be better than Damon in a year or two at the latest. Coco was injured last year so how about letting him have a healthy season before you say he's declining in his mid 20's.
