Career suicide? After a yr where he essentially cemented himself as a top tier NL pitcher and big game pitcher, he might end up in Milwaukee? I understood him going to Pitt and KC when he did to revive his career, but choosing to go to Milwaukee when his stock couldnt be higher is career suicide.

suicide??

by getting slapped in the face with an 8 figure deal isnt a bad way to die

yeah, but the reasons why he went to KC and Pitt were to revive the career and then move onto bigger and better things. He was very movable at that point. This time, he would essentially cement himself into a non-baseball city, one that goes through a cycle of rebuilding every 3 years and he'll be the one unhappy guy wondering why everyone behind him is dropping his balls and why he has 17 losses with a 3.1 era.

Non-baseball? The Brewers have a pretty loyal fanbase. They'll turn out if they start winning. They've got a pretty solid lineup, and a solid pitching staff. They just need a few arms in the pen to compete against the Cubs.

You just contradicted yourself.

"pretty loyal fanbase" and "will turn out if they start winning" are about as opposite as black and white bro.

I should have said, the rest will turn out if they start winning.

They averaged 29,000 fans last year. They usually average about 25,000. Those numbers will increase to 40,000 if they start winning.

Ben Davis and D'Amico, wow that takes you back now doesnt it. Sheets and Capuano are a good top 2. Vargas is the 3, Suppan would be the 3 or 4 and the guy who would have taken #5 (Mark Rogers) is going under the knife for the season. They will still have problems.

Even loyal fans won't come if the team sucks.

What the f***?

Mark Rogers hasn't sniffed AA ball, why on earth would he be the number five starter?

David Bush will probably be the number five starter.

what about you guys?

I wouldn't. If the ownership treats the team like the Devil Rays for the past 11 years, I'd expect a dip attendence.

I'd watch them on TV, but I'm not spending $50 to show up and watch a s***** team.

I'm shocked, however, that the Brewers have attendence numbers that high. That shows that they do have a good fan base backing.

I guess I got him confised with someone else. It is Milwaukee of all places, where old horses are sent to be turned into glue.

Gallardo should be in the rotation by July. Other than Bailey and Hughes, there probably isn't a better pitching prospect in baseball.

Jacko I would normally feel the same about Milwaukee, but they do seem to be turning over a new leaf. they had a decent team at the beginning of the season but faded late. Probably do to the young guys on the team. But with Sheets, Cap, Suppan and vargas, and there young talented lineup with Fielder JR, Hall and some of the wiley vets they do have the makings of a decent team, and a fun team to watch.
