Excuses??... How about reasons. Names and numbers to back them up? All I see is names I don't see any numbers to back them up. Proven facts?? You call those proven facts? O.K.

And it was actually pretty easy to debunk your false conclusions. All I had to do was look at their career stats. It's always been the consensus that it takes ball players time to adjust when switching from one league to the other. But of course you think that's an excuse.

As for me taking the time to debunk your false conclusions. It took much less time for me to look at stats and use a little critical thinking, then it did for you to come up with that idiotic list.

I think you guys are both doing the same thing. Its a form of relativism, just pointing to certain tendencies or stats of a list of particular people and saying "I have a reason for my belief too!". What you need are statistics that are not based exclusively on notable individuals who go from one league to the other, but based instead on aggrigate stats, team stats, league stats and over a few years.

I don't know what stats those are and league ability is a very complex question to answer statistically, balancing each league against itself, each park against each other park, etc., I'm sure someone here could come up with a good argument though that would be better than a list of examples. There's always an excuse or counter example when done that way.

No, I'm basically saying it takes time to adjust to changing leagues. He's saying that theres proof that the AL is harder and he has a list of players to prove it. I just pointed out why his conclusions are false and that he has no proof. To prove his point he just needs to have a list of players that were given time to adjust to the other league and were not injured. I mean look at the list and the comments I added while looking at their career stats. They're not excuses or being skewed by any stretch of the imagination.
