New York Post, Richie Sexson might be an option play 1st base. A package headed by Melky Cabrera could be possible

That deal is dead. The Yankees told the Mariners that they would have to take back Pavano's full salary and years, and they declined.

There not going to beable to dump Pavanos hole salary until he proves he can actually pitch. But if he does come back and pitch decent, why would they trade him? NYY aren't really too deep in pitching at this point, but I guess if they got a decent deal for him theyd ship him off before he hurt his Pu$$y again:D

Doubt it....they reason they didnt sign Hillenbrand was defense. Reason they wanted Mientkawicz is defense. Sexson is not that great of a 1B and will eventually mold in to another DH type which they already have a bunch of.
