Payroll vs Performance

Interesting little program that shows payroll vs. team performance for every day of the season. Biggest losers last year: Cubs, Red Sox, Giants. Biggest winners: Twins, A's, Tigers.

 

It's kind of cool to see how it changes over the course of the year.

Shouldn't the yanks be in the biggest losers category? Seeing as they lost in the 1st round of the playoffs despite having 200 mill+?

Based on regular season record. The playoffs don't count towards it...you know, the games Manny and Ortiz were watching on TV in October.

Can't argue with that point. They sucked. At least baseball was meaningful for September though.
