Breslow doesn't have the time in the ML to be a ML free agent, as of now he is on the Sox's 40 man roster, however i would said that his chances of making the Sox 25 man roster out of Spring training isn't better than 50-50.

Hansack is on the 40 man roster so he will be with the organization next year. He may win a long relief role in spring training but may begin 2007 in Pawtucket.

The Red Sox have released Dominican OF Moises Santa. The release in my opion isn't talent related, Santa has had a few issues the last couple of years and may not had been matured enough.

Interesting guy. His 2005 RA was 6.70 but his FIP was 3.62 and xFIP was 4.18. Must not get along with the other guys on the team that well. ;)

Could be that. Considering he's almost a mortal lock to spend the entire year on the farm, it doesn't really matter. He's just stat fodder.

The Sox have signed minor free agents RHP Edgar Guaramato and C Alberto Castillo to minor league contracts. Guaramato is a 22 yrs 6-1 170 venezuelan whom the Mariners signed as a 16 yrs catcher. After 4 years as a catcher in the Mariners system he was switched to pitching in 2005, as a pitcher he has a very good arm but its very raw and hasn't pitched in a full season schedule league. Castillo is 36 yrs Dominican 6-0 200 who has played in the Majors and could be in Boston before of the 2007 season ends.

Also there has been that the Sox has resigned Venezuelan first baseman Luis Jimenez and signed minor league free agents Travis Hughes and Bobby scales, but haven't been able to confirmed.

I had always liked super joe mcewing. Can play 7 positions in a pinch, a good guy to have on your bench.

rotoworld didnt like the pickups saying that the sox continually bring in non-roster invitees who have no shot and hence the cupboard is bare at midseason. What I'd say to rotoworld is, why would a non-roster invitee want to go to the sox when they know they dont have a prayer of seeing time until august anyway. Take it for what it is worth.
