I just am throwing this out here. I think Tiki Barber is the biggest weenie, baby, ******* is sports right now. If I were a Giants fan I would be pissed off. The guy ran for 230 some fricking yards last night and announced early in the season that he is retiring. This guy is ridiculous. People are talking about putting him in the hall of fame, but anybody who walks away like he is should be ashamed. His team has suffered, not lived up to potential, could and should have a high seed and has failed. Now he will walk away from a city that has embraced him. He is in his prime and everybody knows it. Tiki Barber should never be honored for his football playing days because he does not care enough about the game or his teammates and city to accomplish his full potential.

Are you serious ? He ran for 230 yards, that has nothing to do with his announcement. The guy has played his ass off for this team, yet you want to blame the team's poor play on him. Get real. Hoiw about the poor play by a QB named Manning ? How about poor coaching ? How about injuries ? Instead, you choose to dump on the most consistent contributor on the team. He owes the Giants, NFL fans, and you nothing. He's honored all his commitments with a high degree of performance. Just because he's smart enough to walk away before he becomes a cripple he's self centered ? I think not. I guess you think Jim Brown is an ******* also. There have been others that retired early for a number of reasons. If you ever played the game, or at least talked to people who have ( college or above ) you'd understand how absurd you sound.

I may not have made that clear. I am not blaming the Giants performance on him. I am saying that the team has a ton of potential, and did not live up to it this season, and most guys would have the drive and the will to try and help the team get to where it can be. Barber has had no major injuries to speak of.

 . First of all, the fact that you ignore his accomplishments and disrespect his decision despite the fact that you've never rushed one yard in the NFL in your life is beyond me. The man has played 10 complete seasons and he gave it his all every play of every game of every year. He is one of the most respected players in the NFL mainly because of his work ethic and his service in the community. I bet you didn't know that he was given the Humanitarian Award by the United Hospital Fund’s New Leadership Group in 2000. I bet you didn't know that he serves as a board member for the New York City Boy Scouts of America. I bet you didn't know that he also is a spokesperson for Verizons R.E.A.D.S program, and Parmalat Dairies, where he gave a donation of 70,000 gallons of milk to charity organizations and poor families in Newark, NJ. Barber also frequently visits the children and families who live at the Ronald McDonald House of NYC, and he is chairperson for the Giants’ fundraising efforts at The House. He's involved with City Meals on Wheels, which delivers emergency food packages to homebound elderly in New York City. Other community programs that Tiki is involved with include the Muscular Dystrophy Association, UNICEF, Pediatric AIDS, Learning Leaders of New York, Starlight Foundation and D.A.R.E. Do you still consider him "the biggest ******* in sports"? The man has two children and I hate to break it to you but there are things more important in the world than sports. Maybe he doesn't want to be a crippled handicapped father when he's in his 40's. He wants to spend more time with his family and you'll probably still see him broadcasting, a role that keeps him involved with the NFL without the risk of injuries. He's had a great, inspirational career on and off the football field and not only is he a great football player but also a role model for young athletes everywhere.

Well, Im good friends with a lot of Giants fans, and their fine with him leaving, and happy he let it be known. Now the team can do what they need to find a replacement, and not have to wait untill 2 days before draft day to decide what to do. He has other things he wants to do, mainly, become an actor, and you dont want to see him turn out like [My favorate player ever] Curtis Martin, who, at the end of his career, may well not even be able to walk anymore.

No you have no point. You keep blaming it Barber. It's obvious that you have no idea what you're talking about.

I would like to say thank you to Stephen Jackson for having his game of the season during the Talksox FFB Super Bowl this week. However, Zach has L.T. so I'm not out of the woods.

Jets D didn't hurt you either.

Yeah, but I didn't pick them up because they are good. The Raider offense is bad enough that picking up their opponent's D is a smart move no matter who it is.

166 yards and 4 touchdowns... too bad he didn't do that last week when I needed it in my league...

Yeah, you kicked my ass. I need Grossman to have a HUGE game tonight, and LT is picking another week to NOT score a touchdown. Ravens' D has been great...but that's canceled out because of the Jets' D. Goddamn. I reached the finals in both of my leagues and looks like both teams are choosing a pretty s***** week to start sucking.

wow, that was a crummy call by the refs in the Broncos game, how can the ball still be live if the Ref took it from the player for the spot? No ones blowing a whistle out there!

KC @ Indy (Larry Johnson's gonna do some damage in the dome)

Jets @ Pats (Should be a close & tense division rivalry matchup)

I don't think that's correct. I thought that there was a rule that the Wild Card can't play a team in their division in the first round. Meaning that the Jets can't play the Pats in the first round.

Thats what I thought too but I heard the CBS sports crew discussing how intrguing a matchup of Larry Johnson against Indy will be next wknd:dunno:

Although the CBS sports crew always seem to be off their rockers. I remember all of them ruled out the Pats against the Jaguars a couple weeks ago. Dan Marino & Boomer Esaison each said that "Tom Brady cant handle the pressure?" Today again across the board the Pats were ruled out of the win but came out as victors, the CBS crew came out as dumb asses twiddling their thumbs once again

I wouldn't trust them. They're in love with the sound of their own voices.

PS. Good luck tonight !

I guess it is true, on NBC they confirmed that the Jets are coming to New England next week. Something positive I take from their last meeting is that while the Pats lost by a touchdown... they did so while turning over the ball 5 times!!

Good close matchup none the less. I'll have some strong vibes if they have Faulk, Watson, Wilfork, and especially Rodney Harrison :( all set to go

Yep, its Jets Patriots, Sunday at 1:00 PM! Divisions can play in NFL, but not in MLB.

Im so excited, win or lose, I'll be happy with this season, but getting another win in New England in the playoffs, would be the ultiment Victory.

Just remember that the Pats are a much different team in the playoffs. That team you beat in November is not the team you will be facing. Not to mention it will be much healthier.

I'm not sure, but the Tennessee Titans need to eat s*** for being absolutely disgusting yesterday. I'm glad we posted 40 on them and embarrassed them even after taking Brady out after the first half. They were out to injure someone and they just didn't give a s***. I'll look for a Harrison update.

Thats true, but also, believe it or not, the Jets Defense has been playing much better, and if Andre Dysons back for that game, then it will be a defensive showdown, and not an offenseive

I do find it quite ironic that Harrison got injured on what might have been a dirty block. I wont shed tears for Rodney.
