no you're kidding yourself if you think he's great, out of all the starting QB's in the NFL he would rank not even in the top 10 in my opinion,

wherer would you rate him?

Of all of the WR groups in the league, his would not rank in the top 30. Michael Vick is a great player. The problem has been Jim Mora Jr. trying to fit him into a system he's not built to play in and not getting him the talent to help him adjust.

HERE'S TO THE 2006 NFC NORTH DIVISION CHAMPION CHICAGO BEARS!!!

Now I'm hoping they don't wet themselves in the playoffs like they did last year.

They had NO offense last year. If Rex Grossman figures himself out then the Bears will be okay. The Bears should be concerned about the Cowboys at the moment, though.

So glad we benched Plummer for Cutler...

So far, he's just a poor man's Jake Plummer. I understand he'll get better, obviously, but he's not the man to be leading a playoff contender at this point in his career.

Yeah, that was an incredible play by Marshall. I'm sick of watching the Broncos play in primetime. I hate the blue pants they wear when they do.

Cutler finished 10/21 for 143 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. And he looked absolutely terrible. Half of his yardage came on the great play by Marshall. His first touchdown pass was a ball thrown high to a wide open TE. Whatever, I never wanted him to start to begin with. He had the terrible decision to throw the ball rather than eat it and take the sack on his first pick. When I heard that Jay Cutler would be starting, I was worried that we'd be one and done in the playoffs. I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore. :dunno:

I don't know how the Patriots can't figure the Broncos out, to be honest. The Broncos make no attempt to disguise or change what they do on offense. Really, the only question going into the games are what RB is going to get the majority of the carries. And I can't even think of one occasion in which the defensive gameplan has even changed slightly all year. The reason the defense struggles in the second half is because the opponents adjust and Coyer does not. Coyer's a great teacher, but he needs to be demoted. He's a horrible D-Coordinator.

I don't either. It's just that Denver is that thorn in our sides. We'll beat you like once every 3 years, but that's it. In the post-season, you probably win. It's annoynig as all hell. I've been to 3 Pats-Broncos games in Foxboro (1 at Gillette, 2 at the old Foxboro Stadium) and the Broncos have won all 3. It's SUCH a pain in the ass!

its his first game jeez give him a break , and BTW jake wouldn't have done any better

I don't think so.

This is more of a physical injury then any mental. His percentage is at about 72%, which isn't great, but coming off an injury, that's not bad for a kicker.

He also wasn't endearing himself to the coaching staff which probably was the main reason he was cut.

Seriously, Martin Gramatica? They don't really think he's better, do they?

well i know its only one game but the move looks pretty good so far

Jake couldn't have thrown for more than 70 yards through 3 and a half quarters against a middle of the road passing defense? His last 70 were all because of Brandon Marshall, too. Cutler even had a running game! Jake hasn't had that in the past few weeks that he's struggled. With Jake Plummer, the Broncos win that football game. Bottomline. All but, maybe two of Cutlers completions were to wide open WR's. He should've had another pick early in the game as it went right off of a diving Seahawks defenders hands. His first pick was the worst decision since Jake decided to throw left handed (and in Jake's defense, he hasn't done anything nearly that stupid since). He couldn't throw on the run, he looked terrible in the pocket...

And the 'give him a break it's just his first game argument' is worthless. I like Jay Cutler, and I want him to be great. But I've argued all season that he shouldn't touch the field this season and that's why I'm so hard on him, the decision to put him in, and the 98% of Broncos fans that bitched and moaned to put him in.

I don't know what was dumber, playing Cutler (who obviously isn't ready) or Shanahan admitting that he expected Elam to scamper 25+ yards down the sideline on the fake FG.

the guy had 21 pass attempts , what do you expect? as far as plummer throwing for more yards if he would have been in , i dont think so, his average passing yards per game is 166( and not to mentionned his 70 quaterback rating good for 29th in the league ),so i wouldn't count on that , i would let cutler loose in the next game to see what he's made of , make him throw the ball more, if he cant do any better then put plummer back

Hello Number 6 Seed...

Well, I know its not over yet..but its cool to even ponder the thought that if we win out the next 4 with our weak schedual that we'll be in the playoffs, its crazy!

We need to focus, damnit! Beat Buffalo! That's the season right now!

I refuse to get ahead of myself, but it is nice being tied for the WC spot.

Edit- and look at who the other contenders are playing this week. Yeesh.

The playoffs are going to be very competitive this year. With the emergence of the Chargers, and th Ravens. The Pats, and Colts staying strong, and a evry scary WC group coming into the last weeks, it is going to be very fun to watch.

I personally am most afraid of the Chargers, theys eem to be the real deal on both sides of the ball.

You can't put Plummer back. There's no return point, anymore. Cutler was absolutely terrible. There wasn't even a flash of being good. He had one yard through almost a quarter and a half. He completed all but one, maybe two passes, to wideopen WR's. He made terrible decisions and made terrible throws. He should've been picked three times. And Cutler even had a successful running game! I can't even remember the last time we ran the ball well.

Jake Plummer never had a chance. Rod Smith is terrible, the O-Line is banged up, our TE's are garbage, there's no consistency in the run game. And he still, at worst, looked better than Cutler did last night. I understand it was his first game -- my point isn't that he's terrible and will make a terrible pro... it's that he shouldn't be playing because he's a rookie being thrown into a playoff race.

after the jakes performance last winter against pitt for the afc title the writing was on the wall

that O line is getting older, rod smith is my age

their d has been carrying them for a couple years now but to give up 16 at home in the 4th quarter is inexcusable for a team that considers itself a contender

theyre the only team that worries me

marty schottenheimer will fail in sandiego despite having the best balanced team

thats his legacy

peyton suddenly has that altar boy locked in the rectory look in his eyes again

the jets and chiefs arent ready for prime time yet and the pats also have their flaws

should be a real s*** fight down the stretch

Indy is getting the ball shoved down their throat by Jax. MJ-D and Taylor have combined for 246 yds and 3 TD in the 1st half.

If you ever coach a football team, at any level, show them a tape of that game to teach them how not to tackle.

The Broncos are down by 14 after one with a rookie QB (and not even a good). Three possessions, two fumbles for Cutler, Tatum has recovered them both.

Alright, Tatum just broke one but it's coming back some after he stepped out of bounds.

After last week, and so far this week, Cutler owes Tatum Bell a huge steak dinner.

SD looks like the total package right now. Great running game, good defense, Rivers makes good decisions with an accurate arm, and they play smart (few penalties/turnovers). Most balanced team I've seen this year.

Agreed. I'm even picking them to win the Super Bowl despite Schottenheimer being their coach.
