Two timeouts in the first three and a half minutes. Perhaps Shanahan, who usually likes to prove his genius, is trying to show that he can beat the Colts without timeouts?

Colts just got owned on a naked boot. A ticky tack personal foul on the Colts followed. Can't say I agree with the call.

Tough call there. He didn't even really hit Plummer.

EDIT: Did they waive it?

Nope. But I agree completely -- too protective of the quarterback there.

Colts better learn to contain or else that play is going to hurt 'em. Jake just got it out inches too far.

I just noticed something. In the fantasy league, your defense gets penalized with a point for the PAT if the other team scores a defensive touchdown. That sucks. Pittsburg just lost 5 points from their total because Roethlisberger gave up a pick-6. Bogus.

Good call on the PI against Wayne. I thought at first that they might give it to Denver's D, and they played that ball well.

The Broncos aren't disguising any of their coverages.

Addai shouldn't be carving us apart.

Wow... Pass Interference on Reggie Wayne. Good call.

See Red,

Yes that graph is accurate. Thanks for finding it. Where'd you get it?

The Broncos are looking good. The usual bend-but-not-break defense. Even when it bends, it doesn't bend much. 3-0 Colts, but it could be a long day for Peyton and Co.

I saw somebody post it on a message board last year, so when you asked, since I didn't know the answer, so I figured I'd try and track down this site. I managed to do so.

I think it's updated every week so I had little doubt it would be accurate. But considering I'm not near any other teams' markets I've never had to use it myself, really.

Touchdown Broncos!! Jake Plummer runs it in.

7-3!!

How pathetic is our offense if the announcer says that may be our best drive of the season? :(

Posted

What's that? 12* straight completions for Manning? But they're all for short yardage. Bend but don't break, baby. 7-6 Broncos.

Edit: * Only 10, I feel a little bit better, I guess.

Nice touch on that one. If Denver's offense can stay awake like this, they move to the head of the class in the AFC.

Agreed. The playbook hasn't been as vanilla as the last two weeks, which kind of goes with what I had been saying. Jake looks great! That run on 3rd and 6 was a great effort by Jake.

Darrent Williams got absolutely worked on that possession. If we're not going to have anyone with 7 yards of their recievers, can we at least blitz and get pressure on Peyton?
Posted
This is ridiculous. No matter how many guys we drop back in coverage, Peyton will beat us if we give him time. Can we f***ing blitz Manning? I'm still not big on Larry Coyer, despite the success of this defense so far this year.
Posted

Mike Bell is good. He fits the system a lot better than Tatum, actually. I'd like to see them split carries more, personally.

Cecil Sapp is destroying the Colts defense on these little fullback runs, too.

Posted

Manning has two minutes to work.

It was a valiant effort but based on the entire rest of the game... we don't have a prayer.

All Peyton has to do is throw to whomever Darrent Williams is covering. Probably Reggie Wayne some more.

Colts win.

Colts game ball goes to both Darrent Williams for his attempt to cover Reggie Wayne and Larry Coyer for refusing to change his failing gameplan. And Peyton, I guess, for hitting his WR's who didn't have Broncos defenders within 7 yards of them.

Wow, terrible call in the Jets game 4th down..game on the line, endzone shot, Baker gets a 1handed grab..and is shoved outta bounds in the endzone..and they call it Incomplete!!!! Bull..s***...

I know you cant review those plays..but that never shoulda been the call..he had both feet about to come down, and was pushed out. Wow..game-ending s*** call..awsome

I am actually happy the Colts won.

Colts win puts the top like this

Colts: 7-0

Pats: 5-1

Broncos: 5-2

Ravens: 5-2

Assuming the Pats win tomorrow (which will be a tough, tough game), it'll put us at 6-1 going into a showdown with Indy next weekend. If we are to take that game, which I am confident we can play with Indy, and hopefully take them out, it'll put us at the top of the conference.

Whereas if the Broncos won it would have put all 3 of us at 6-1, where the Pats play Indy and the Broncos play Pittsburgh. Assuming the Broncos win a tough game in Pittsburgh, putting them at 7-1 no matter who wins the Pats/Colts game, they would have the tiebreaker for the top spot.

Whatever. It's a lot of small talk, the season is far from over.

did you ever think that perhaps the colts offense is too dam good is why you lost?

colts are now 7-0 but their defense still sucks especially against the run , so if the colts dont want another early exit from the post season they better get that addressed

He never said the Colts' offense isn't why they lost. I think he knows that Wayne is an elite receiver and that's probably why Darrent Williams had such a tough time. It's reasonable to blame Coyer for not blitzing more though. If Denver had blitzed on just a few of those plays that turned into big plays for Indianapolis, Peyton would have therefore been more pressured. And with the Broncos' speed, it isn't unreasonable to think Peyton would have tossed up some s*** throws. But, they stood pat, and Peyton tore them a new *******.

I'm sure he knows that Indy's O is great, but it's not unreasonable to say the Broncos' lack of blitzes helped the Colts.

The defensive matchup alone, I like the Pats vs the Colts

Patriots DEF avg points allowed- 13.3 (most points given up thus far has been 17)

Patriots Run DEF- 83.8 yards a game

Colts DEF avg points allowed- 21.9

Colts Run DEF- 167.7 yards a game (Mauroney & Dillon, the field is yours)

This year we aren't injured. There's going to be hell to pay for last season. Can Peyton win in New England when he plays a HEALTHY Patriots' team? Last year he beat a patch-work defense. Let's see what he can do this time around. Hopefully he gets humiliated on primetime national television B)

I wouldn't look ahead. Minnesota controls the ball well and plays good D. They are no pushovers.

I don't think Belichick and Company are looking ahead. They know what they have on their plates tonight.

For sure. Just seems like some of the fans here already have the Pats 6-1. I think they'll be prepared and win, but Minnesota is a good team.

if denver would have blitz more ,manning would have hurt them more cause they would of been even more receiver's wide open for manning to throw too
