Aramis Ramirez to hit the open market after this season?

Wouldn't be surprised to see them make a run for Aramis if they happen to make the playoffs this year. They may feel that he could help put them improve tremendously, not to mention that he'd be filling the shoes of David Bell...which isn't too hard to do.

 

I hadn't thought about Ramirez to the Phillies, but it makes sense and it's interesting. Nice thought. If that Phillies team gets better (and a signing like Aramis Ramirez would definitely do that), the NL East could be a bit more competitive next year.

Well there GM did say he would spend some money in the offseason after he traded Abreu.

I say go after the guy for sure. He's a solid bat that the Sox could use in the lineup.
