Coco Crisp: Can't handle Boston or slow recovering from injury?

Buford and Lewis can't hold Crisp's jock.

The sentiments here are amazing, really.

Darren Lewis 1998 Boston Red Sox

585 AB, .268, 8 HR, 63 RBI, 29 SB, .352 OBP

Coco Crisp 2006 Boston Red Sox

301 AB, .276, 5 HR, 23 RBI, 16 SB, .327 OBP

Hi how are you?

SO you're making the comparison to a relatively healthy Lewis to an injured Crisp, one who has had half the at bats of Lewis.

You aren't really helping your argument.

All baseball players have nagging injuries, Coco is not different. If they are healthy enough to produce, they play, if they aren't they don't. It's simple. It's time to stop making excuses for him. He may be a better player than he's shown but unfortunetly he just hasn't shown it for whatever reasons.

And he's been hitting .300 over the last few weeks, so how exactly is he not producing?

Crisp: .290/.333/.428/.761, 35 HR's 55 SB's (Ages 23-26 seasons)

Buford: .242/.311/.385/.696 54 HR's 56 SB's (Career, Nine Seasons)

Crisp may not be producing, but Damon Buford?

He's been decent lately, but nothing to write home about. This shouldn't be a concern. We are 2nd in the AL in runs scored, it's not a huge roadblock. We got by with Darren Lewis and Damond Buford type players in the past.

comparing lewis and coco...

In terms of identical statistical numbers or barely adequate contributing centerfielders? The first terms I do not know, but I was refering to the later.

Why do you guys feel the need to put words in my mouth? Is what I said that bad?

Crisp, when healthy, is more than a barely adequate contributing CF.

You don't seem to think so, however, as you compare him to Buford and Lewis.

I DID NOT COMPARE HIM TO BUFORD AND LEWIS, ONLY AFTER I WAS ASKED TO , DID I COMPARE HIM. I SAID WE CAN GET BY WITHOUT A BIG PRODUCIING CENTERFIELDER. WHY CAN'T YOU LISTEN?!?!

You didn't compare, but then you did.

Hi how are you?

Darren Lewis was a great fielder with a good arm. Many experts think Coco's arm is not as good as Damon's.

Thank you. This was the worst timed thread ever. Just as the guy starts to come around, throw him under the bus. Wtf?
