Pray, thats all the Sox can do from here on out...

The month of July hasn't at all been a good month for Byrd. Lets hope the Sox can rid their struggles against him at least, and capitalize on the struggles he himself is going through.

I don't understand WMP hitting behind Coco ... I'd even consider moving him up ahead of Tek as well.

At least he's in the lineup.

Manny Ramirez is a good hitter and is having an excellent year.

That describes a full decade.

Coco can get on' date=' maybe steal a base, WMP can drive him in.[/quote']

Or he could also end innings without giving WMP a chance to drive runners in.

Very true.

He's quietly putting up monster numbers this year though.

1.049 OPS? 29 HRs? 84 RBIs?

Yes please.

Yeah, there hasn't been much press or fanfare about the season he's having. Papi's heroics are more dramatic, but Manny is still the better hitter. I'm glad he's happy (for now) and wants to finish here. He's the type of guy that it may take decades to replace.

Wells looks like he can get the curve over for strikes. (Knock wood)

Like I said in the other thread, a David Wells at 80-85% is better than any pitcher that could have been had at the deadline.

He's probably going to miss a spot or two as he finds his groove -- like he just did there. But, yeah, good Boomer will be huge for this team.
