Tavarez has been used a lot this month so I don’t know if part of his problem is fatigue: physical or mental. Before the ASB in the Chicago series he did well in relief, but since then he’s been shaky at best. Maybe he’s just cooked, who knows?

 

He hasn’t quite reached the point IMO that he should be released because he can eat up innings. But for a veteran reliever he simply isn’t living up to what you’d expect and need, and Tito shouldn’t have to manage around his inabilities.

He is always ok for one inning, then in the second inning he gets lit up. He is getting used wrong.

This is the same guy who pitched 4 scoreless innings against the ChiSox right? Listen he hasn't been good this year but they need a mopup pitcher. If AGonz doesn't make the error last night its a completely different game.

It can't be that hard to get a decent reliever from a bad team without giving up a whole lot so I'm really expecting a move to solidify the bullpen
